  • Very simple to use, just plug it in!
Color: Brown
Bird Bath Heater RX-102 If you like to be friendly to birds and other wildlife during the winter, then the Fnydvis Bird Bath Heater will help you. We feed the birds and other wild life around our house all year round but during the winter months, it may be difficult for your animal visitors to have access to drinking water. Water is essential for life and in most parts of the upper regions, lakes, ponds and other watering holes may be frozen over which makes it near impossible for smaller creatures to get a drink. We also have a large heated bath and not only do the birds take turns but we have some squirrels that use it quite regularly – all year round. Ours is high on our deck but I imagine if it were ground level other wild life would use it too. The neat thing about this unit is that you can just drop it into any container that you have, add water and plug it in and you are ready for visitors. Very simple to use, just plug it in! This unit comes with a 9.85’ heavy duty cord, which is long enough for many areas and of course you can always use an extension cord to get to the spot you want to have your water bath. I measured the temp numerous times and received varying temperature readings, so not exactly sure how it is regulated. The colorful instruction sheet mentions that it uses a Honeywell Temperature Sensor IC, which keeps the water temperature between 68 and 80 degree F. It is not really cold here yet, but did see temperatures of the water at 55-60 degrees when it was about 38 degrees outside. It has a built in fuse right in the end of the plug, which I have never seen on electrical products before. It is non obtrusive and is a very smart component. Rather than having an in-line fuse box like many appliances, the fuse is built right in the plug – very cool. I chose the brown color because it looks more natural, don’t know if that makes any difference, just my preference. It boasts a Teflon spiral heating wire and glass fiber synthetic shell that is high temperature resistant. The product appears to be well made and molding is top quality. If you feed your bird visitors, don’t forget to give them a hand during the rough winters! Hope this review helped you make your purchasing decision, if so, please click on that “helpful” button. • Good birdbath
I've had this out for most of the summer and seems to be working well so far. It's taken a little while for the birds to get used to seeing it there, but I have seen them drinking from it. When I bring it inside for teh occasional cleaning, it's pretty easy to wipe out with some soap ad water. I read another review that mentions the chain rusting, but I haven't seen any rust yet myself. The hard plastic is sturdy enough that there was no breaking, cracking, or bowing after a rainstorm filled it up to the brim. It was easy to put together and hang after I received it. I did wonder what the two extra holes along the rim were for, but after visiting the seller store, I see there is also an "automatic refilling" version of this bowl, and that is where you would attach the filler if you had it. Mystery solved! But I've very pleased with it and will be stowing it away pretty soon for winter. Recommended. ... show more

  • Easy to install, but pretty lightweight
Works for me OK. Installed under a table and is protected from the wind enough to not be an issue. It is pretty lightweight so it could fly around in a windy area so keep this in mind when picking a location. Comes with everything needed for an easy installation. Overall I am happy with it though.

  • Birds love it
And so do the insects lol I think we've had more i sect visitors versus birds, but they share great. Its big enough to have a Bluejay sit on and bathe or drink. The chain could use a little work, seems to get tangled pretty well and fast. But overall, its a great addition to our backyard

  • So glad I gave it a 2nd chance!
I got this originally as another bird bath and hung it up from a tree branch in another location. After several weeks of unsuccessful attempts, and a move to the current location, I was disappointed and was resigned to leave a less than positive review based on the bird "bath" aspects of it. Now, it could just be my own birds are picky as they do have other pedestal birdbaths in my yard and perhaps they prefer those. When I came back to read comments and was going to leave a review, I saw that some had great success using it as a bird feeder instead. So, I decided to try that route too! Thank goodness I did because I have had great success as a bird feeder! In fact, it's funny how many little birdies try to all get inside at once! As you can see in one picture, I was cleaning out a back room and had stacked some items under/near the feeder and a friendly stray cat attempted to get a closer look! LOL I have since removed those items so he couldn't get too close. The scrub jays love the feeder too and I usually put birdseed in it and then toss some peanuts in it too. My house kitties like to sit in the window and watch all the action! So glad I didn't give up and I gave it another chance! Easy to hang up and assemble, easy to clean, hold a lot, whether food or water, holds undetermined number of finches and chickadees (the are still trying to figure that out! LOL--when they are all in there together, they look like they are swimming or in the bathtub because all you see is their little heads above the top!) ... show more

  • It keeps the water from frozen
Color: Brown
The media could not be loaded. I like the color, it matches the bath bowl, i just wish it was smaller to fit in the round base of the bowl, it's from the same manufacturer, so I'm surprised it don't fit perfectly. But it gets the job done, the water is not frozen overnight, as you can see on the other bird drink and feeder. It doesn't make the water hot either, it just enough to keep the water from frozen, it's nice and safe for the birds to drink. It is well-built, looks strong and will be okay in long run under the water all the time. My only issue is it could be smaller, overall still recommended. ... show more
