Exactly what I hoped for. Sturdy material, thick screws to hold it together, and simple to put together. Took me nearly hours to accomplish it, but that's just because I'm getting older and have stiff joints. Still, once I got past the first few instructions, it was all pretty self explanatory. I'm convinced negative reviews on these were just people who didn't take the time to do it properly. For example, the knuts only screw on easily for the first few turns, then they have to be tightened quite a ways. I can see how someone might feel the resistance and think that's as far as it goes, but you'll know when you can't go further. My only issue is that the smaller slats aren't fixed in place. They just slide into tight slots on the frame. They're very sturdy and it's not a real problem since once you've got the mattress on it won't really affect anything, but it would be nice to be able to move it in one piece. All in all, a great product. No squeaking, high quality, and a decent price, comparitively. ... show more

This is a great box spring. I put it together all by myself in about 30 minutes or so. The only issue I had was it was slightly dented in transit and So I had to force the corner piece in with a wooden mallet. I could lower the rating for that but it isn't the product it was delivery and I am sure I could have returned it and gotten a perfect one as a replacement. But I did want to bother. So I still recommend it because it was an easy fix. My only advice would be check it over when it comes to be sure it wasn't dented or hurt in transit.     • Watch the slats with final placement. Otherwise a good product.

Instructions easy to understand. However, the 20 slats that are installed prior to putting on the cover are placed in grooves. They are not secured by screws (as the rest of the frame). Before final placement onto the frame, make sure that all of the slats are in the grooves. The box springs (well, there's no springs) once put together is pretty solid. ... show more

Even though the bed did not have all the holes drilled that it was supposed to. It still came out okay, but I would not recommend purchasing this product. Far better off going to the store and purchasing a box spring then building one that's defective. The third picture I submitted is proof that there's no hole in that spot where that screw belongs. ... show more

I must not have read the description right. Where it says easily assembly I assumed it just meant like you put it on the bed etc. I was thinking that you actually had to more or less build it. But I guess that way they are able to keep the shipping down. So please be advised if you order this you have to assemble it , but it does come with the tool and all screws etc to put it together. Was pretty cool and different. I got some pics but I had left before it got fully assembled. ... show more
