I was pleased to find out that this engine cover actually covers the whole engine including the lower unit, prop and skag. The section of it that covers the lower unit zips up and then above that is a pull string that can be cinched and tied. For the price this is a really nice cover and with the Iowa cold winters any extra protection of my engine is a good thing. As a boater and avid angler for almost 40 years I recomend this product. I have not tailored with the cover on so I cannot attest to it's enduring quality to high speed winds from highway travel or gravel roads if you have to put your rig through that. ... show more

This Motor cover fit my 200 Yamaha outboard well. It is large but has good tie downs and zippers. We live in a windy area on the coast and so-far the it’s held up in the winds.     • Lightweight and cheaply made but holding up

This is a very light-duty cover. It is very cheaply made with a coil zipper and very lightweight PVC material. This is typical of a cover that might come with a cheap grill for example. Despite the cheap construction, I have been using this cover for months, including removing it and installing it a few times, and it has held up. For the price, it's worth it. I would suggest ordering true to size, or down a size if you have a newer motor and are between sizes. I have an old 4 stroke long shaft 75/90/115 motor with a super-big vintage 2-stroke style cowling, so I ordered the 100-150hp size, and it is way too big. ... show more

The Material Is Cheap. The Cord To Tighten The Cover Over The Engine Broke After Taking It On And Off Broke After Three Times. I Was Hoping For Better Quality.

    • Color fades quickly
It covers well enough and is easy enough to use. But the sun sucks the color out of this fast. it would be better to get a non fading color like gray or white or try another brand if you want bright colors. But the sun is likely to make them all fade. Keep that in mind if your boat sits outside.
