This is awesome. Was looking for a compact lightweight net for those times when we hike to that favorite secluded hole and when backpacking. Only complaint is that it is a little stiff and difficult to refold and get back in its sleeve quickly so you can move onto the next cast. But you don't want something so flimsy it is useless. So once it's open, it's easiest to just keep it open and strapped on to a belt or backpack until ready to trek back out.     • Great value, works as intended. Just not the prettiest piece of gear.
Works amazingly well, compact to carry and really simple to release and use. Only drawbacks are the stitching in the center of the belt loop (I was able to tear out this thread to get my wading belt through it, just a one-time hassle) and the obnoxiously "loud" and repetitive logo placements could be a LOT more subtle. But, luckily the fish don't care. ... show more

    • Bad off-gassing; difficult to close; appears well-made
Appears well-made; band on top of net is metal, not plastic! The smell is overwhelmingly out of the package, so I've left it open in the garage hoping the off-gassing will fix this. It's challenging to close *but* after numerous attempts lining up my hands exactly as shown in the instructions on the box, I did it-- practice will probably make this quicker, and if it hold up over time, it'll be worth it for a well-made lightweight but fairly good-sized net that folds small for transport. ... show more

I lost my nice Shimano folding net, and didn’t want to spend the money for a new one, and I find this net to work just as well, it just doesn’t look as nice. This net does have a leash that works great. Overall I really like this net and would suggest it for a tenkara setup.

The net is great (although I wish it was all black instead of their ugly logo on it). The bet is easy to open, fairly easy to fold, and the quality seems good. However, the case must have changed. They added reinforcement stitches to it so the loop is now so small absolutely no belt could fit through it. This is clearly a design flaw. Otherwise, the net seems to be priced right for what you get. Will just have to figure out how to attach it to my belt. ... show more

Works great for when I want to head out fishing but don’t want to strap my expensive net to my motorcycle. The size is perfect for stream fishing and tenkara setups. It’s a little small for bigger trout on the lake, but still usable in a pinch. I like it best for minimalist trips—just clip the holster to my hip pack strap and I’m good to go. The included lanyard is fine, not amazing, but it does the job. My only gripe is the branding—it’s pretty bold, and I wish it were a bit more subtle. ... show more
