My Kohler toilet has a canister-like flush valve which I don't like. What's the matter with a simple rubber flapper. But that's neither here nor there. What I really hate about my Kohler toilet is the fact that 3 times in the last 8 years, I've had to replace the flush handle and arm. That's because, for some reason, the plastic nut that holds assembly and handle tight to the side of the tank wears out, cannot be tightened, and the handle ends up hanging loose. So I'm really happy to find this universal replacement. Which I can tell is better quality and will last a long time. Installation is easy if you pay close attention to the diagram. I did not and made 2 mistakes that cost me time, d'oh! Make sure to notice "Top" imprinted on the plastic sleeve and orient it properly. Also, make sure to put the lock washer on in the proper direction as shown in the illustration on the package. If you do those things right, then the most difficult part of installation is connecting the darn chain. Now that it's installed, it works great and I can highly recommend this handle/lever. ... show more

I have a Toto toilet whose handle recently started coming loose because the inner stop had degraded after 10+ years of flushes. I immediately came onto Amazon to look for a replacement, but ended up with a couple of "universal" replacements that looked similar to the OEM handle I was replacing, but didn't fit perfectly and lacked adjustment, and worst of all required re-tightening after only a few weeks of use. Then I came across a video showing someone using this replacement handle. I ordered it and installed it within minutes. My toilet has a side-mount handle so being able to adjust both the angle and height of the lever was extremely helpful. After tweaking the placement of the lever and the chain length, I now have a perfectly flushing toilet that feels much more sturdy than the previous replacements I'd tried to use. Do not be like me and waste time looking for a lookalike replacement, just get this one and adjust as necessary, you won't regret it. Just be sure to watch an instructional video as the adjustment process is not totally obvious. ... show more

Easy replacement, no tools required, The toilet tank was a little hinky and they flush handle at an angle, I dropped a star because in certain positions (left facing) the chrome on metal handle looks upside down sometimes. It's all plastic aside from the handle, fully adjustable, and easy to install, the most difficult thing is getting the residual water out of the tank. I would recommend this and pretty much anything from Fluidmaster. ... show more

I won’t lie, I’m not handy. So when my handle broke while my father was out of town I was worried I’d be stuck manually pulling the chain from back all week because I’m spoiled with him living close and fixing things around my house. But I went ahead and ordered this and it came the next morning and looked easy so I figured I’d try. The directions on package are terrible…because it’s so easy. And they are also printed on back of package so it’s hard not to tear them while opening. It doesn’t matter. Ignore them and watch the video on the Amazon page. It takes under five minutes to watch and then install. I couldn’t believe it. It’s been a couple weeks and it’s sturdy and works perfect. Pay attention to which way the handle goes. I had mine forward at first and you had to lift up to flush. Removed and pointed to back and now it flushing down. Stick adjusts so you can move it to whichever side or front your toilet handle is located so works with almost any standard. I think only issue would be if you have a toilet with a back smaller/narrow than standard size because it’s a large sturdy piece. I’m now very aware of how lose all the toilet handles in house are and will be replacing the other two rooms with this one ... show more

We have several Kohler toilets that have fancy sculpted tanks with the flush lever on a 45-degree slanted surface between the front and side surface. Product looks good and relatively easy to install, however, the bulging portion of the angle adjustment is so big that when installed, it hits the tank lid and will not flush. No matter what I tried to do, it would not fit. No so universal if it fits only a handful of tanks with deep space between the handle and the tank lid. I would take good measurements before ordering this unit. And given how difficult it is to take out of the package, that you ruin the package to the point of no return, so getting a refund is pretty much not an option anymore. On the bright side, my recycling bin got a very good looking flush handle. ... show more
