The rug is pretty good actually it's very plush against your feet and it has some cushion in it. The grippiness of the rug is... questionable but it's not something I would not buy it again for. The biggest thing for this rug, along with any shag rug, is the cleaning. It loooves to hold onto everything it possible can and a vacuum isn't gonna be enough. You'll have to take it outside and give a little (a lot) shimmy for it to get most of everything out. But I clean mine like once every couple months just cause I don't got the time for that. ... show more

I bought this for my child's room. Our puppy sleeps there too and must of had an accident because this week the rug started to smell like pee. The reviews were mixed on if the rug was washable, but I took a chance and it worked great! The rug is a dark green, 10x8 to fit under a queen bed. I folded it up and put in in the machine (oversized, top loading), washed it on cold with maximum spin. I was worried that it would throw off the balance of the machine since it took up all the space, but it worked well. It's been a hot summer so we left the rug on the patio for a few hours to dry. It was difficult to lift the bed to get it out so I'm not sure I'll put the rug back in the room until we have a few weeks without accidents, but I'm very happy the rug was so easy to wash. ... show more

I expected this to be a nightmare that would leave fuzz everywhere. To my surprise I haven't had any problems with shedding. The rug is thin I would get some sort of pad to go underneath if using on hard floors.
