Fluff and Tuff is a great brand! My dog is a heavy chewer and has demolished other brands of "soft" toys within minutes of getting them, but not the Fluff and Tuff toys. I do watch him with it. If he starts to actually chew (tries to rip it), rather than just "mouth" it, I take the squirrel away. He loves having it thrown for him or throwing it around himself and it is tough enough to play tug-of-war with too. The first day he played with it almost constantly for hours! He learned quickly how to make it squeak and he squeaks it often. He also has the Fluff and Tough beach ball, which he has had for 9 months. It has been his favorite toy, and he even sleeps with it. It has been washed multiple times. It has two tiny "bare" spots and is starting to go a little flat, but he still loves the ball too. Now he has two favorite toys! Just a word of warning: It is not indestructible! If your dog is a heavy chewer, he or she will be able to destroy it if you let her (him.) If you don't want it destroyed, only let the dog play with it under your supervision and take it away as soon as the dog starts destructive behavior. It took my dog about a week to learn that he cannot have the beach ball if he starts trying to tear it apart, so he stopped doing that and was able to have it all the time. It only took one time of me taking away the squirrel for him to realize that he can't try ripping it to shreds or it will go up on the shelf.

Our silver lab will chew through most stuffed toys in short order. I found these, bought 3 different animals and she loves them. They have been holding out for 2 months and she has not punched through to start the shredding process. The Fluff & Tuff toys are well built with sewn in eyes, nose sand are stitched well at all seams. I will be purchasing more toys from this company in the future. The Fluff & Tuff stuffed dog toys are Cinder-Bear Approved!

I was very skeptical before buying from this brand. I even thought 30 for a plush toy was crazy thinking she would chew through it in 5 minutes. While she’s not a heavy chewer, she is a massive picker and she loves to tear anything to pieces. She is the only dog I know that has shredded Kong toys and shredded hard toys meant for teething. She put this thing to the test and I think because it hasn’t torn like the other ones, it earned her respect and now they’re the best of friends. The dog and chew toy saga. Don’t pay attention to the other reviews, give it a chance and let your own dog be the determining factor of if it will chew through it or not!

My dog is an aggressive toy chewer and normally destroys every stuffed animal but this squirrel was the exception! She plays with it all the time and doesn’t pull the stuffing out.

I have a young Golden Retriever who LOVES to shred and pull things apart. Toys that say for aggressive chewers have nothing on his ability! This has made it so that he can’t have any stuffed animals, even the ones that say “durable tough” can’t hold up to my pup. And then on vacation we found a Fluff & Tuff animal in a pet boutique and thought we’d give it a try , just hoping it would last for more than five minutes…and it did! It was the skunk, and it last a couple of days with strict supervision. And then…I turned my back…and it was destroyed. I went looking for that skunk from the Fluff & Tuff company and that’s when I came upon the squirrel!!! OMG…it is FABULOUS! I still monitor my pup but I have caught him with the squirrel pinned down and him trying to tear off the nose or eye, and the squirrel is STILL in tact! I’m sure if I never paid attention, the squirrel might not have lasted…but it is so tough that I’m not sure it wouldn’t have! So finally we have a stuffy that my my pup plays with, sleeps with, shakes relentlessly back and forth trying to kill it…and it has lasted over a week. Like I said, if you don’t monitor your agressive chewer, it might not last more than a couple of days. But get the squirrel and monitor your dog with it and just watch him/her have fun with a stuffy that finally lasts!! I’m for sure going to get another just to hold onto for future use 😄
