I bought this for a 3y/o who loves to draw with anything, tempera, watercolors, markers, etc. This tablet was to allow her to entertain herself on trips and away from home, but the colors shown in the description and the photo on the box include some in the orange to yellow range. The colors also appear much brighter than the blue to turquoise lines (there was a lighter green-yellow closer to the edges) made with the stylus. It was not very bright to look at in a darkened room. A finger doesn't make a mark; only a fingernail or a hard object (2 styli included) can be used to draw and there are cautions about scratching the surface. It was just OK, but not what I thought it would be and too boring for a child who changes colors between each scribble on the page. Lastly, I don't think in turns off. Maybe it's dormant when not in use but it was live out of the box (line up the 2025 coin cells) and the lock only defeats erasure by the one button. Returned immediately. ... show more
