Ill start by saying that I really like this bed cover. How ever the install packet it comes with isn't very good for directions. I couldn't figure out how to attach numerous parts without watching the video. Took about 1.5 hours to install. With that being said my initial reaction is it's a great product. They didn't cheap out on any hardware. Operation is extremely smooth. Looks great, and I'm looking forward to it not flopping around like my old leather roll up. My only real complaint is it doesn't seal to the tailgate well. I'm not sure if will be an issue or not. Otherwise the water sealing gaskets are far better than the other systems I've used in the past. Overall this is a no brainer at the price point. Very happy with the look and operation. The bed cover was delivered on time and not damaged. The installation was not bad definitely need 2 people. My only complaint is that the instructions are terrible. The cover looks great.

    • Tough Retractable Aluminum Cover - Won't Go Back To Flip Style Covers!
Bought this to replace a broken folding tonneau cover, was on the fence about losing the space where the "can" goes, but its totally worth it! Watertight seal all the way around, just remember to install the bulkhead aluminum L bracket at the front of the bed (directions were a little foggy on this, but for my F150 with the 5.6' bed it was needed). Don't be afraid to put the included screws into the header for this bracket, measure twice, making sure the bulkhead bracket is level with the bed rails, pre drill with an undersized bit, then use the included sheet metal screws to install. Then seal the space around the bracket with the included black RTV. The cover then slides up until it hits the bracket, then you install the clamps. On my truck. I added some of the included foam to the tailgate side so the tailgate doesn't hit the cover, but still makes a solid seal. I highly recommend this cover, the name brand version with T slots for a rack is 3 times the price, and the quality of this one is top notch. Smooth operation, adjustable tension, it includes lube for the tracks (makes it glide smoothly). The only places you may get water is in the corners (where the cover meets the tailgate and the front corners of the bulkhead) and that's only when you're driving in a downpour. Not water proof. Could be about 1” longer for my ford f150. But I seen videos and reviews of ones that cost $2,300 that are not water proof. The best part is it’s always locked. Yes there is a key lock but I never use that. My f150 has a tailgates lock that locks when I lock the doors with my keys. The cover can unlock with a strap that you can’t get to when the tailgate is closed and locked. So I can keep my tools in the back locked with just a push of my keys and opened up with a push of my keys. ... show more

Received the Tonneau cover via FedEx Grd on 3/15/24. No visible damage was observed to outside shipping box. However, while preparing to install on 3/16/24, during the unboxing, it was observed the dents in the casing (see photos). Thinking I could knock out the dents I used a rubber mallet and got it back to halfway decent, but not perfect. Once installed, while returning from our inaugural drive with the cover on, it spontaneously retracted, exposing half the truck bed. Thinking I may have forgotten to lock the cover, I made sure it was locked and took it for another drive. Sure enough, the lock mechanism failed and the cover retracted again. I spent way too much money for this cover for it to have arrived in the condition it was in, and for it to keep retracting on its own. What to do? It's installed now. Getting it all disassembled and back into the box for return is a pain. Not to mention the size, weight, and cost of returning such a purchase. It's terribly frustrating! ... show more

    • Good but has major flaws
Bought this for a 2023 super crew F150 with the 5.5 foot bed. Overall good construction and not too complicated to install. However, the written instructions are terrible. Just watch the YouTube video. Some sections you may have to play at half speed. Next issue is, that at least for the 2023 F150, it's too short to be watertight by about 1/4 inch. So expect some water to come in at the tail gate. But the most concerning flaw is that the nuts holding down the rails back out with normal commuting. After a couple days noticed the rails had shifted. Opened up the bed and found all the nuts loose and one completely off. Was an easy fix with some threadlock, but the instructions say nothing about applying loctite to the threads and there being a risk of them becoming loose with vehicle vibrations. ... show more

Video instructions is too fast paced and paper instructions were misleading where you have to remove part of the bracket assembly later on. Needed to pause to get a visual instruction. Cover portrudes the side of the truck bed. There's also a gap between the tailgate and the cover about an inch. Can open when driving on a bumpy road or on a windy day. ... show more

Had this on for a couple months and love it! Use the angle piece up front. Minimal water intrusion. Watch the YouTube video to see how to install the rails to the bin. No regrets!
