i got this today in a box that was 4-5 sizes way to big with no bubble wrap to protect the jar. i am not certain i actually got a new container. there was no security seal on it, and the outside lid was stained with the contents. i will let you know how it works, i will be cloning something real soon, ... show more

Every start or node I used this on turned black and rotted. I tried dirt and water propagation, tried reviving with hydrogen peroxide, clipped the rotten bits back to healthy tissue and tried again without the rooting hormone, boiled my glass propagation bottles, rinsed the nodes and starts ... I tried everything I could think of. Nothing worked. It could be a coincidence; maybe there was a virus/bacteria/fungus that hydrogen peroxide/neem oil/alcohol couldn't kill that is the culprit. That'd be a pretty big coincidence, though. And I wasn't propagating anything delicate, either. Mostly philodendron, several types of pothos, Chinese evergreen, cane begonia, and coleus. I'll give it one more go - 50% props with the hormone and 50% without - and see what happens. ... show more
