  • Try Before Buy/Amazon Wardrobe is the way to go with these.
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black
How things have changed since Covid 19... He says while on the elliptical with a computer mounted in front of it and a table top attachment for wireless keyboard, mouse, and more for working while working out. If you know the story of Goldilocks, I can save you a paragraph of reading beyond ordering a bunch of sizes and keeping the one that fits best. Shopping for specialty and other than off the rack sizing options have definitely limited choices and higher prices. At a time of higher prices, fewer choices, it seems the that these would be the perfect candidate for try before buy. These were the most reasonably priced boots for the limited choices available. When fake leather costs nearly as much as real leather, it is hard to consider the fake ones at prices approaching the real options. Thanks to everyone who wrote reviews that helped ease the selection process. The sizing dilemma was most prevalent among reviews about being too big or too small and figured this was probably best ordered with try before buy and pick a few pairs around the expected size. Since most suggested that they are either too big to start or stretch out shortly after a few days of use. This type of boot has multiple fitting issues to consider while it is a shorter boot, it getting a pair that fits the foot while being appropriately sized for your ankle and lower calves can be tricky. The easiest way to figure out which one is right is try as many as you can within a size range. Finding anything in my range is always a challenge in brick and mortar stores. The most common size ranges are not always in stock and hopping from one store to another store isn't convenient. I've tried Amazon Wardrobe before its name change which surely attracts more people and spells out more clearly in its name one of its top features. I have always ordered larger sizes when it comes to footwear and used various types of inserts from memory foam to insoles from previous shoes that had to be removed to fit right. These were no exception. Judging by the consensus of at least a size to bigger than your regular size. AE measured my foot as 10.5m or regular width but that is for dress shoes wearing nano thin nylon socks. I also prefer to add double pillow Dr. S insert after cork sets to my imprint and before perspiration discolors the bed of the shoe. There wasn't a complete selection of every size available with try11w along with a 9w, in the event that product changes were made after those reviews. The 10W was the best fit and still allowed room for the memory foam insole minus the original insole which isn't horrible but also isn't great. If the boots stretch out, I can always add thin slice of insole padding of any type. I could have could have gotten away with wearing any of them plus or minus insoles but the 10w was the best fit for the opening during walking because the 9w opening that fits with seemingly just the right gap for a pair of warm socks would create too much stress on the vamp and surely generate more friction than is optimal for the fit. It would have been nice if they could have used just a little bit of that stretch material either as part of the zipper connections or a strip on the instep side of the boot which would alleviate that extra stress on the leather. However, the 11w could have worked with an extra cushion insole or thicker memory foam substitute for the original insole but the top of the boot was swimmingly large. Yes, it could have been kept hidden by the bottom of the pant legs but the 10w was the best of the options. It is far too easy to damage soft leather and by far the easiest leather to damage is the kind worn on your feet. Uneven stairs, sidewalks restaurant chairs, tables where you can't see the legs, and just about anywhere you can accidental lean the edges of your feet against will cause scuffs to significant scrapes. Dark colors can be more easily repaired but it is still disappointing. I was spoiled by a market with tons of competition and lots of options at bargain prices. Fast forward to now... I was never a fan of these chukka style boots when I was a kid but after my 45 and what my wife would call my first midlife crisis, I saw a cool looking pair of Kenneth Cole unlined boots in black that were being sold for 10.00 dollars, I thought I should have at least one pair. Fake, yes. Comfortable, yes. Look real, yes. Would I care if the were in the trash in a few weeks, not really. They had dual zippers and stretched to fit my large calves. 6 years later, after they endured the last rain and puddle that broke the illusion of real leather and were not repairable as they started a never ending peal, it was time for a replacement. ... show more

  • Looks and fits great!
Size: 11 Wide Color: Brown
The search is over. I visited several local "boot stores", but there is very little available in size 11.5 boots (99 percent of boot retailers carry only cowboy boots). I took a chance by ordering size 11 Wide Florsheim Medfield's, and they fit perfectly (I even put in a larger insert) and they feel great. Most shoes and boots run small, so it was a pleasant surprise that these didn't jam my big toes! They are very shiny and elegant (Beatle boots?!) And the side zipper makes all the difference in putting them on and taking them off. Nice quality. ... show more

  • A winner
Size: 8.5 Color: Black
I've worn boots my entire adult life. Many pairs by many different brands. This style of Florsheim is terrific. Wearable all day without an issue. Soft leather inside. Great quality and comfort. Outer leather is high grade. Not a fashion boot, but extremely comfortable. Recommended.

  • "Worth the Price" may be speculative & subjective
Size: 8 Color: Black
The first thing I should disclose is that with this purchase it was the first time I'd ever spent more than $60 on a pair of shoes, so naturally I'd have had higher expectations for them in a number of areas — which was of concern to me because of the fact that almost without fail the more I've spent on a set on footwear the more "discomfort" they'd cause me, as compared to many a $20 obscure shoe brand that no one would have ever heared of which surprisingly would offer me mad comfort but at the cost of rapid deterioration. And here, sadly, we have more of the same... but with some positive aspects to kind of balance it out somewhat. These boots have an initial nice and comfortable fit, but this presupposes that you were not planning on doing any significant amount of continuous walking or standing in them, as they will gradually contribute to the bottom of your feet becoming quite uncomfortably sore and feeling taxed, even after a reasonable "breaking-in" period, which is largely due to the lack of any padding and barely any arch support. On a positive note, they do a semi-decent job of keeping your feet dry in instances where you're encountering puddles or heavy rains; and yet the disconcerting flipside to this is the fact that the soles of these boots offer little in the way of a good firm traction on wet pavement, to the degree where it might be potentially dangerous to wear them out on a wet road when trying to operate and control a motorcycle of any significant weight. They look nice, they feel nice, but I wouldn't recommend them if you are planning on using them as any sort of "work" or 'hard-walking' shoe... not until Florscheim focuses more attention on getting the interior foot-bottom comfort up to respectable levels. ... show more

  • Great boot!
Size: 9 Color: Brown Crazyhorse
Not only looks good….but extremely comfortable right out of the box. I was so pleased that I immediately ordered the same boot in black which was also comfortable right out of the box.

  • Great comfort and fit!
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Black
The boots fit perfectly and are very easy to put on. I love the ease of using the zippers, and I love how comfortable they feel when I walk. I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys fit and comfort in their footwear.

  • "DEFECTIVE PRODUCT" with no quality control.
Size: 11.5 Color: Brown
Very disappointed. I’ve always considered FLORSHEIM to be a brand synonymous with quality, so for the $150 I paid, I expected the boots to be in perfect condition. Unfortunately, one of them arrived with torn leather, which clearly suggests a lack of proper quality control. If you’re going to sell a defective product, the least you can do is disclose it and offer it at a discounted price. ... show more

I have EXTRA EXTRA wide feet and struggled to find casual boots. Wore Doc Martens for years, but needed another option. Florsheim advertised wide fits. Get the zip option if you have wide feet. Color is as shown. Wearability has been good. Flexible and comfortable. Would buy again and might check out other Florsheim shoe options for wide feet. ... show more
