The plants in this package are all truly aquatic plants that will enhance the biological ecosystem in your aquarium and make your fish happy too! Live aquarium plants helps maintain higher water quality by binding organic waste. Aquarium plants will convert carbon dioxide into oxygen which makes for a healthier environment for your aquarium inhabitants.The vast majority fish of species natural habitats' include aquatic plants. They will therefore feel more at home in a planted aquarium. Fish that like their environment are less prone to illness and more prone to be active, display vivid colors and spawn. Additionally, keeping aquarium plants can reduce stress in several ways for your fish. Establishment of territories can decrease the amount of fighting among fish by forming many small territories instead of one big one in the aquarium. Live plants also provide weaker or less aggressive fish suitable hiding spots where they can avoid being bullied. The species included in this bundle are Anubias Barteri, Hornwort, Moneywort, Amazon Sword, Dwarf Sagitaria, Red Melon Sword, Anubias Coin, Hygrophila Araguaya, Java Fern, Vallisneria. I haven't bought aquatic plants in over 15 years, but really wanted some to help with the nitrite levels in my cichlid tanks. After looking around I went ahead and decided to give these a try. They look weird when they arrive (I am a novice with these, so they were probably perfectly fine to those used to them lol), but after placing into them into the tanks they seem to be doing much better. I placed them in the tanks on a Friday; I checked my nitrite levels the following Sunday and they're way lower in acceptable level standards now. Currently my only issue is in one tank I suspect at least one of my fish has decided she didn't like where I stuck some as I now have floaters and munched leaves. In another tank area I do have one that appears to be dying but I suspect my snail (had prior to these arriving, didn't come with them lol) is to blame for that. Overall, at the moment, I'm pleased with my purchase. If anything drastically changes (like they all decide to wither away simultaneously) then I'll update it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just wanted to update this almost 7 months later... I have just 1 plant left that's flourishing and one "stubble" bit that's been picked over. However this is not the plants themselves fault...it is my fish. They're jerks that think they need to rip everything apart (cichlids) lol. I don't know how I still have one decent sized plant left, guessing all the plastic "decoys" I put in there kept them distracted from it. Recently I took all of the plants out because I was tired of finding them popped apart and wanted to clean them. I did find part of my real plants leaf floating around, so yeah, the jerks are doing it again lmao. Kind of bummed, would have loved to see how they all looked fully after so many months, the one I do have really looks nice, for however much longer that'll be lol. The plants picture is now, almost 7 months after I received it...can see where a leaf has been plucked. Honestly, if I were to EVER try live plants again, I'd more than likely order these ones again.

I will update in a few weeks when I can verify that it is pest free. Some of the stems were slightly frozen, however I believe that it may have possible saved my plants because the shipping time was a little long for me. They come with instructions. However, I really would have liked to see a list of the plants that I got so I know how to care for them. I'm not the best at identifying plants, and I have no idea what needs planted versus what needs tied to rock. Some of the plants had really damaged leaves, the long 'onion plants?' were broken so they're small and withered in the picture. I incorporated a picture of my tank before the purchase and some plants I had in there originally. The last photo is including the plants purchased by this seller. Please note that I rearranged the plants I already had. It filled out my tank perfectly. Overall, this was a really nice purchase for the price, the plants seem to be alive? They're not in the best condition, but we will see what they do in the water. UPDATE: shipping affected a majority of the plants. four of them died within a day of being in my tank because they just didn't make it in time. The others are really rough looking, but I may be able to bring them back. I think shipping was just too cold for them, and it took a week so they died off. I'm pretty sad that so many died, I couldn't tell how bad they were until they were in the water. two of the plants almost died, but are slowly regrowing.

So this is probably as much my fault as anything else, but I'm writing this review as a cautionary tale to others in my position. I have a shallow 30-35 gallon pond with minnows and goldfish and a box turtle that loves to swim in it. My pond had a few turtle-safe plants in it already, but I had noticed the water beginning to foam, and this meant that I needed more plant life to counteract the fish life to balance the pond. So I ordered this because honestly, it's a great deal. When the plants arrived they were all bunched together in a bag. Nothing was labeled, so I don't know what I got. Everything looked sort of unhealthy, but with the temperature being what it is around the midsouth lately I can't blame the shipper for that. Anyway I popped everything into the substrate, which is only about half an inch thick of pea gravel and sand, and positioned everything away from the walls (so the turtle wouldn't rip it up as she passed by) and in the areas that get the most sunlight. I poured in some pond plant fertilizer, and then waited. A few plants, one I think is Java fern, really added a nice touch to the pond bottom. A few more looked like once they got a hold on the bottom, they'd be really beautiful. One was just like... long skinny leaves with no roots. It was almost completely brown but I had high hopes for it. So two weeks or so in, and the Java fern has shrunk. Not looking so good. Two of the more potentially beatific plants are completely gone. Turns out I wasn't the only one who thought they looked nice--I think the fish ate them. The long skinny ones got pulled out by the turtle when she swam around. One very pretty set of cuttings was purple with little white tips on the end. Pretty sure the turtle ate those. This morning the foam is starting to come back (it had completely went away initially). It looks like, of the initial ten plants I placed in there, only 3 remain in any sort of living condition. What's really crazy about this is I may order again. I still need plants in my little pond and this is the best deal out there. I suppose it would help if I knew anything about these species, and it would be incredibly helpful if the seller would put some sort of description card and special care instructions for the actual plants I received. I'm not sure if that would have made me more successful, but it couldn't hurt. It was very frustrating not knowing what I'm putting in the pond or how sensitive it might be. All in all, I'll say it was great value for the money, tempting fate to get it through the mail, impossible (for someone like me) to identify the species or know how to care for each one, and the survivability is reduced by so many variables here, it might not be worth it, but then again it might. I love the way the variety of plants look in my aquarium! A whole little world on a shelf! The 10 species nicely fills the 10 gallon aquarium with plants. Several species already reached the top of the aquarium and were nice and larger than expected. The broad leafed plants held up really well in transit and look amazing! The finer small leaf plants had a lot of decay by the time they were planted. The smallest purple and green plant didn't ever recover. However 9 of the species are already putting out fresh leaves after only 5 days! I trimmed off the mushy leaves and stems, and quarantined the plants for 6 hours and rinsed them twice to get algae off. I didn't see any snails. I did need to clean my aquarium today after only 5 days, it had an unprecedented amount of long thin algae for the first time ever. I probably should have quarantined for several days in vases and cleaned the water continuously. But I am extremely pleased with how healthy and large and beautiful the plants are already!! --- fast shipping! It arrived the day of my birthday! Thank you! My fish also thank you-- much happier with all the places to hide and with more plants to block the water current. My betta in particular appreciates the plants and all the hiding spaces.

So I waited to review this since I ordered them twice. The first time they never showed up so amazon refunded them. So I thought post office loses stuff. Ugh. So I waited a few months until holiday season was over and placed a new order to try again. I can’t say it went better. So normally when you order aquarium plants you expect to get something close to the picture that’s advertised. Now I’m not saying it has to be exact but close is best. This is not what I got. What I got was a clump of what I can only describe as moss and onion plants with a mess of death plants and brown black slime. I saw these pictures and I said. I love the colors how nice for my tanks (I have 6) and if they work out I’ll order more for the other tanks. It didn’t work. I can’t say I found any snails or shells but the black slime probably ate them if they were in there. I tried to save them and cleaned them with fresh water and the only thing that was alive was this moss stuff. Which is not pictured anywhere. Wtf!! Well the clump of moss stuff is a tangled mess it’s like trying to untangle a group of furry caterpillars tangled in an orgy. Needless to say I was not putting that junk anywhere near my tanks. So I have a clump or furry moss, 6 or so black brown dead leaves, a disgusting amount of slime. And a clip of an onion plant with no roots. I contacted amazon and let them know and they ended up refunding my whole order. On a positive note petsmart came through and had some purple plants for now so we will see. Hopefully I’ll find a seller that cares about aquatic life and their customers because unfortunately this seller does not. On a side note I pity Florida whose name is being ruined by scamming fish plant company. Not impressed guys. You could do so much better. People are suffering enough and a positive thing to look at like a colorful plant or happy fish can be the good thing in a world full of pain and sickness. I’m giving you one star but I’m only giving you one star because of Amazon’s money back guarantee which forces you to refund me.

These are beautiful, healthy plants! I would suggest paying attention to weather conditions before ordering (too hot or cold). First, I am new to live plant tanks (the fake plants would tear my betta's fins). I've ordered twice now from this seller. The first order, I attempted a bleach bath for fear of snails or alge. Some of the plant unfortunately did not survive. I purchased a second batch and just placed them in the tank and have not had any issues with pests or random hitchhikers. I did research on caring for live tanks and find it not to be the easiest or cheapest option in the beginning, but I feel will be so beneficial once my tanks are fully established. I currently have I no fish and I'm just focusing on these plants. I've read that new plants may "melt" when first introducing them to the aquarium due to going from oxygen to being submerged in water, and then they will grow new leaves. I have one tank with pebbles that was cycling with water before i placed the plants in. I found it difficult to keep the plants down in the pebbles or from floating up. My second tank I did sand and planted them before filling the tank which was much easier! I've purchased Root Tabs that I place in the subtrate directly, CO2 Booster, and Leaf Zone to provide nutrients. They seem to be happy plants so far! I'm extremely happy with these plants and I look forward to purchasing more from this seller. I love the variety of all the different plants that come in the bundle. It's a learning process definitely and can't wait to add fish to my beautiful tanks eventually.
