The listing for this folding saw states it is made from stainless steel. I see no reason to doubt that claim, however; knives and tools I've purchased usually have "Stainless Steel" stamped in the steel somewhere. This product doesn't have such an imprint. Other than that, it has all the features I want. There is a hole at the back of the handle which allows the use of a means of tying it down or hanging it. The handle is rubberized and notched for a good grip and it has a thumb lever/ lock which secures the blade when open or folded in the handle. The blade is very aggressively ground and sharpened to cut green to dried wood very effectively. For me this saw will meet my needs at home or in the field. ... show more

For the price, and considering this is an extra saw to keep in my car, its fine. Cuts fine, decent size blade. The unfolding and folding I don’t like, you have to press the button to open the saw, and it has a “stop” when closing, presumably to keep you from accidentally closing on your hand. I find the double stop close to actually be less safe, since you have to hold the button the entire time. I much prefer my Silky, but I didn’t want to spend $50 for a saw I will only use a few times a year. ... show more
