The Hoop Shark is an ok pool toy. It’s bigger than I thought even after I read all of the product info and knew the size. I aired it up using an air compressor. If you were to try by mouth like a balloon, you’ll probably pass out before you’re 10% into it. Make sure you have an air pump of some sort. I thought I read that it came with a weight to hold it in place in the pool, but none was supplied. I filled a half gallon milk container with rocks and water and used a string to tie it to the bottom of the toy. It works ok, but a relatively light wind will still drag it around. If you have a Polaris type of cleaner, you will need to pull the weight out whenever the cleaner is on. I thought I had the weight well out of the way, but my cleaner got tied up a couple of times. All in all, it’s an ok toy. If I were a better basketball player and swimmer, I might like it more. For the price, get it have fun… ... show more

It's very durable for an inflatable. It's made of fairly heavy weight vinyl. My oldest son and his 2 sons LOVE it! They play with it in my pool every weekend. The inflator that comes with it is too small, but I bought a better one locally, hand operated like a hand bicycle pump, that inflates on both the up and down stroke; it inflates the Hoop Shark reasonably quickly (it inflates in 4 compartments). It has a small ring on the bottom through which we have run a cord so we can anchor it with 2 milk jugs filled with water. It's IMPORTANT that the Hoop Shark be anchored so that it does not rub against anything and rub a hole. Because the Hoop Shark can drift a small amount, they have discovered that it's not as easy as they thought it would be. And still they love it. Oh, the basketball is made of basketball material (making it super durable) but is smaller in size. ... show more

This product is super durable only if you aren't doing crazy dunks and will be hitting it. Otherwise, it got a leak after our first use and a bunch of the senior boys were having fun dunking on it. I pumped it up from then on out before every pool day, and by the end of the summer I had to throw it away. I will still probably buy another one next summer though. ... show more
