I’m in love with these candles. I think it will speak volumes that I’ve already bought them twice and am about to put an order in for a third. Obviously, there are cheaper-priced sets you could buy, but I truly believe the value is solid for the price. Not only do the candles look and feel realistic, with a waxy texture throughout, (without residual feeling on your fingers), but the wick is shaped identically to what a flame would be, and with the remote, there is a dimming feature for higher or lower light output. The ambience is amazing. They even flicker just as a real candle would, and the soft, amber light is more natural than any bright white LED candles. While they give a perfect warm glow, they would be ideal on the brightest setting for a power outage, and no worry if you accidentally leave the house with them on! Easily accessible on/off switch and battery compartment on the bottom of each candle requires no tools to replace batteries. HIGHLY recommend!!!! ... show more

Wow these look absolutely real. The flicker is very realistic and even looks like the wick is swaying with the light flickers. I have them in a tall glass lantern in my bedroom and they turn the room into a spa like atmosphere. I'm going to get another set for the bathroom. After a fail with the first package (arrived damaged) I bought several packs of these to brighten up the book shelf and disguise the internet cables Yes they take batteries and yes you have to replace them but I put mine on a 4 hr timer and they last a month without having to change them. They throw a soft light and the remote lets you change the brightness. You can use one remote for all of them. I left the others in the drawer in case I lose one. I have them come on before I get home and it’s always a cozy feel when i get in from work. The largest ones are not too tall to fit nicely on a shelf and you can always use a coaster underneath to make them taller if you need to. I really liked the look of this candle set, but after only about a week of having them, one of the candles completely deformed and left wax everywhere. I liked them enough that I just chalked it up to bad luck, cleaned up the mess, and kept the other two. Now, just one day past the return window, another candle has done the exact same thing.
