Have eight of these reels in use in our shop. The function is great - the hoses remain pliable, easy to install and much more durable than the plastic counterparts. I bought this reel over two months ago and use it quite a bit. It was purchased for a replacement. It seems reminiscent of reels on the back of welder trucks, which were always good. The Flexzilla hose is a good quality that I have been using for years prior to this reel

Easy to install, works as expected. I mounted mine vertically on a wall section between two vehicle bays in my workshop so I could air up both sets of tires without moving the vehicles out to get to the third bay where my compressor lives. I ran a 50-foot extension hose from the compressor to this reel and it works like a charm. I would prefer a more positive locking feel when pulling the hose out, it can get a bit fiddly getting it to lock and I was concerned that the wall mount choice I made somehow didn't let the locking mechanism function ideally, but it just isn't as "solid-feeling" as other reels I have used and therefore not a major consideration. ... show more

This is a great product, it works very well for me. Some reviewers say that they have trouble getting the hose to latch and not retract when extending the air hose. Just listen for the clicks as you extend the hose. You need to stop pulling out the hose when you hear the clicks, that is when it will latch. I use this air hose reel every day in a professional shop environment. it performs very well for me. As for the mounting issues that some have stated, no it does not come with mounting hardware, they would have no idea what you intend to mount to. One mounting tip I can give you is to trace out the mounting plate sitting on top of a piece of paper to give you a pattern where to drill the holes required for your application. Just take the pattern and tape it in the spot required and drill the required holes. ... show more

Two minutes adter opening the box metal that stops the reel broke off. Poor welding job. For the price this product is not worth it
