The media could not be loaded. I got this for installing HW flooring, I've had to add up some scraps with a pry bar, and you naturally tend to use the nice straight pieces early on. So when you get to the wall you're left with the boards that need straightening. I could probably use it to straighten out planks on an exterior deck as well. Apparently it can also be used to cut the bands on stack of framing lumber, as shown by mister workmans comp in the attached video.

I wish I had this for other flooring projects that I have done. With those jobs I used a wonder bar to pull and pry the last pieces closest to the wall. This tool is much better. The lever action pulls the plank in so it clicks into place. It is very easy to use. My one complaint is the ratchet mechanism. I almost want to pound the pin out so I can just lever the pieces into place and reset and move down the board. The only problem with that is that same mechanism prevents it from sliding out. The whole thing is overbuilt. I almost wish it were made from aluminum, but the steel is able to persuade the most stubborn planks. The welds and finish are ugly. But this thing rips. If you have a lot of flooring to install I would say this is a good value, but if you are only doing a small room use the wonder bar.

This is for hardwood flooring. This jack works great! Hardwood flooring is machined to have a lock in type of install; however, wood is imperfect. Wood warps, splinters and moves. Wood is like a living material. When it comes time to install hardwood flooring, the machined lock in often gets stiff or stuck or a little warpy - enough to make it a big pain in the you know what to get it to all click together so it can be fastened to the floor correctly. What this jack does is it eliminates the hassle of trying to get everything to fit! It helps to force the hardwood flooring down and together so that it can be properly installed. This is a heavy duty machine that works great! Makes hardwood floor installation so much easier! It takes a lot of the frustration away with working with hardwood. Highly recommend! A great value!

The media could not be loaded. The Hardwood Flooring Jack by CreekT, is a very helpful tool when laying flooring as you get close to the wall. It’s solid steel frame and slightly padded ends make lining up and pushing together hardwood floors simple. It worked great for my project and will come in handy down the road for multiple other projects. Overall, I’m happy with it and the help it provides. It’s strong sturdy and very effective for what I need it for. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.
