My true rating for this product is 3 1/2 stars. I read reviews for lots of desk on Amazon before pulling the trigger on this one. It seems like many people had issues building this desk and with understanding the instructions. I'm guessing they fixed this issue, but the directions were very clear and it was a real straight forward build. THE GOOD: I'm very happy with the desk size, the 4 programable hight settings and its overall ease of use. When you make a desk adjustment it's not particularly fast or quiet, but they weren't deal breakers. The warranty length was also a good selling point. Overall construction feels good for the price point with a few exceptions. THE BAD: The desktop is not a smooth surface. I didn't know that it was textured before purchase. This makes writing on a single piece of paper terrible. It is also very easy to scratch. The desktop is about 1" thick. It might seem like enough, but a thick top would be prefered. I think it would help with stability. Speaking of stability. The desk is the most stable at sitting height. I am using an ultrawide monitor (on a stand) and a 16x9 monitor on an arm and at standing height the desk shakes at the slightest touch. Simply tying makes the monitors shake. The design could have benefitted from larger points of contact of the frame to the desk. I've learned to just deal with the monitor wobbling and at this price point I really can't complain. Overall good value for a $250 price tag.

Now I will say that there are more expensive brands out there but this is much more reasonably priced with similar quality. That being said, what I was most impressed with was how it was packaged. It does come in 2 separate shipments. I received the base first and the desktop the next day. Upon opening the package I was pleasantly surprised with how well secure and protected everything was. There were no metal pieces banging into each other, no scratches, and no dents in the base. The desktop was equally protected and secured with only a minor dent but it was on the underside of the desktop so not an issue with me. Putting it together was a breeze. The instruction booklet was printed on large quality paper with clear diagrams. Assembly is pretty quick and straightforward. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would highly recommended.

For the price, this thing is amazing. The desk adjusts height very smoothly and quickly. I was surprised with the quality of the desk top. It's hefty with a solid feel. My mouse glides over the bare surface better than my mousepad so now I don't even use one. I currently have my monitor, a gaming PC, my laptop, and multiple peripherals on top of it and it seems to handle the weight just fine. My only thing is that I wish they had a 55" with a bit more depth but honestly, for the price, you can't beat it and I would highly recommend this.

This was a huge upgrade from my more expensive, smaller, and less sturdy 'gaming desk'. I needed a bit more room to set up my work laptop and its travel screen. The 55 x 28 is perfect for that. The packages arrived seperately, well packed and in good condition. Assembly was easy; however, there are some things you need to know as the instructions leave a couple steps unmentioned. First, you can assemble the entire base and then you need to flip the base around 180 degrees on the desk if you want the controller to be on the right-hand side. The instructions only show assembly for mounting left-side, although the same screw patterns are mirrored. Second, whichever side you choose to mount the controller, you will have to drill two pilot holes in order to secure the controller. If you didn't drill the holes for the desk I received, it would be secured by only one screw. Third, there are two additional areas to drill pilot holes for the horizontal support bar. I didn't notice them until assembling the wife's desk. you can raise up the desk to full height and remove the shields to access the area and it makes the desk sturdier once you get those screws in. Once everything was done I plugged it in and it worked like a dream. The sitting height is good and the upper max height is too high for me (I'm just under 6 feet). The desk is sturdy at all height settings, and my monitors barely shake when the cats jump down from the shelf above. The memory settings are just 'push-and-hold' to set your custom heights, and there are four of those. I've only set the first two, and it's awesome to hit the stand or sit settings, walk away and come back to the desk where I wanted it. My wife was out of town when I assembled it, she got home, watched the desk in action and had me order another one for her that night. As soon as I hit submit on this review, I'll be assembling hers and I'll update if there are any issues with her assembly, or future issues for both desks.

This desk is lovely! However, the assembly was not straightforward due to the actual pieces having very poor craftsmanship. The holes for the nails don’t align for the desktop itself (the legs that attach to the big piece of desktop), which means you’re stuck with a wobbly surface. Customer Service Support is slim to none when reporting the issue, btw. Save Yourself money and hassle and purchase a product with a valid warranty. Wanted to love this but can’t use it. No Bueno.
