This hair straightener does the job and straightens my hair pretty nicely, however, I wish there was a higher range for the temperature setting options because I usually have to go over each section more than once to get it straight.Other than that, this is a pretty good straightener.

This is a good tool to be used as a traditional flat iron. It's pretty standard with multiple heat settings, 1 inch plates, etc. While it straightens nicely, I'm not sure I'd use it for curling. Hair slips out between the plates when you twist. I think I prefer a traditional curling iron for that.

I have a curling iron, but was intrigued by this flat iron that indicates it curls hair too. It's a different type of curl from an all round curling iron, so I was interested to try a different style. For me, it was difficult to keep the hair inside the flat iron, with nothing on the outside of the iron to hold the hair being wrapped around the curved outside. The hair slid off & the flat iron is too awkward to twist hair. Plus the heat is inside the flat iron, not the outside. So for me, this didn't do the job of giving me a successful "different style" of curls. I don't straighten my hair, as that's not a good style for me, but it straightened my hair instead of curling it. ... show more

The Flat Iron Hair Straightener worked as described. It heated up quickly, within 15 seconds to temperature. It smoothly ironed my thick, wavy hair so that it was straight. I could not figure out how to make this also curl my hair - too bad that there were no directions for that. It came with a bag for storage though I wish the bag had been heat-resistant and silicone. I appreciated that the flat iron had a locking mechanism so you can lock it flat and close for travel. I was a bit skeptical of how it would perform since they had a major spelling typo on their package where they clearly meant that it had ceramic plates not creamic. However, it is a lightweight styling tool that would be great to have for travel or the gym. My hair didn't seem dried out or frizzy after using it so I will look forward to using it more. ... show more

This straightener is ok in a pinch. The color is nice and is different from most flat irons I have seen- however the performance is just mediocre. It only goes up to 200 degrees which did straighten my hair, but it took quite a few passes. I'm no hair guru but I'm not sure that having to keep going over sections to get it straight is any better than a higher degree temperature. At any rate it also has a nice digital screen to show you the temp. however the screen is right where I generally keep my hand/finger while using the flat iron and in turn it ends up getting pushed in which will eventually result in it being broken. So all in all I feel like this is a cheaply made flat iron- but again it would work in a pinch. ... show more

MNSYFLNS - Flat Iron Hair Straightener and Curler Pros - All excellent things : It heats up fast, has a swivel cord, has a temperature that you can actually control. It's a good size plate, not too big, not too small. It gets hot and stays hot. And it works well. My hair was super straight and super shiny fast. And the price is decent. (at time I got it 24.99 USD) Con - and a big one : The placement of the little LCD screen for the temperature control is TERRIBLE. It is exactly where my thumb needs to rest. If I put my thumb lower I hit the temp up or down buttons or the power button. Rotating it around is okay but even still then my fingers sometimes hit the buttons and change settings. In one use I have already depressed the LCD screen into the device. The device still works but I don't know how long that LCD is going to survive. ... show more
