We have used this life jacket for multiple lake trips between 4-6 months for our baby. He wears it primarily in the boat for safety, but I also tested it out with him in the water and it does a great job of keeping him floating face up and leaned back in a safe position. As far as safety and peace of mind, this life jacket is great. Comfort wise, I wish the strap between the legs could be adjusted to keep it from riding up so high on his face. Even when tightening the portions that are adjustable, it’s hard to keep the jacked pulled down and it rides up and covers his mouth sometimes. He seems to be comfortable enough to sleep in it during boat rides, but I worry about obstructing his breathing some and am constantly adjusting. However, I think you’d likely run in to this problem with any life jacket for this size. That being said, our friends with a lake house were extremely impressed with it compared to other life jacket options they’ve used for infants in the past as far as its fit and safety features and I would recommend it. ... show more

This does not fit my baby at all. Ive tried it both at 8,9, and 10months of age and everytime i use it, it climbs up his neck and covers his mouth. Also, my baby is in the 92% for head circumference. This is not safe for babies.

This fit so well, I always worry about vets not fitting right and bothering their neck / head but this one fit my son perfect. He’s four months old and almost 20lbs ( big yes I know lol ) he was very comfortable!

I was able to use this with my 9/10 pound baby- you just have to make sure their head won’t go through. The only problem is it’s hard to hold them when they have it on because the head flap doesn’t really comfortably go up or down. I wish there was something coast guard rated when you could set them down when the boat is parked or off! The baby was more comfortable than you would think in this. I eventually was able to lay the baby across my lap with their back on my lap and the flap sort of in the air. The baby’s head could rest on the head support and I could hold them securely that way.
