    • Fantastic product for the price!
I have a fair amount of 3D printing experience with a different tabletop model. It was about 3 years old and broke down so I went shopping for a new one. At $340 this was hard to pass up. This thing is fantastic. It takes longer to get it out of its packaging than it takes to get it up and running. The heated bed is great and promotes good adhesion and helps with warping of parts. The bed comes with some kind of permanent textured surface so you no longer have to mess about with masking tape or other temporary bed covers that must constantly be renewed. The machine is quiet. It has a built-in camera so you can monitor print progress remotely, if desired (I have not tried this yet). The device has built-in wifi capability, and using the FlashPrint software you can easily import .stl (and other) files, slice them, and then push them wirelessly to the printer, whereupon it will start printing. The software has very fine control capabilities but honestly the Basic setting works just fine for what I've done so far. Print quality is great for my parts - so much so that I now print on Fast setting because it's plenty good enough for the parts I am making. Standard quality was fantastic. I should print something on Fine just to see how good it can actually get. About the only criticism with the machine is that it won't accept 1Kg spools. But that is OK - simply remove the access panel and set your spool on a spindle rod right beside the machine and it will up-take from an external spool just fine. Also the machine has a fantastic auto-load and unload routine that makes changing filament painless. I can't imagine how you could get a better machine for the money. I'm tempted to buy a second one just to increase my production speed. ... show more

Have been running in pretty much non-stop since I got it couple of months ago, printed a collection of succulent pots for my home office, laptop stands for coworkers, supplies for team fun event and more. These days when I need something like a hook to hang a painting I first think of printing it out rather than going to a store. Good price, not more than a decent paper laser printer, seems to be robust mechanically and I like having an enclosure to keep the cat out. Now it's important to remember that laser printing is for pros and patient hobbyists. Expect having to add supports and brims to models to prevent them from collapsing and then patiently removing these with pliers from finish print and occasionally breaking the model it took you 10 hours to print (keeping crazy glue at hand and allowing it 30 seconds to set saves the day in a lot of cases). Even if you do everything right, messes like model unraveling into strings or nozzle clogs are not uncommon, often many hours into the print. These things have more to do with 3D printing in general than this particular printer, but you should still consider what you are getting into. To minimize initial frustration, order a selection of PLA+ spools of different colors together with the printer, apply provided glue stick to printer bed to keep the print from coming off and move to OrcaSlicer as soon as you need to print something with supports. Otherwise enjoy your hobby as a journey and not just end results! ... show more

I started 3d printing about 8 years ago. I have owned a few old-fashioned i3 printers and have been constantly upgrading them till the recent rise of the bambulab-like high-speed machines. I feel it is time to jump boat and give it a try, since a custom built voron will cost way more than the commercially available ones from established brands. I got this machine at a discounted price. On paper it has almost all the fancy features one would actually use, like core xy, high-speed, vibration compensation, fast release nozzle, magnetic PEI build plate ... I was pretty happy about the purchase. The printer arrived 2 days ago. The installation was easy. I have been testing intensively since then. And here is my initial impression: 1. The print quality is good...when everything works fine. 2. It can go really fast but the fail rate is pretty high, especially on tall prints with small bases. Even with their sample filament, sample file and their own glue applied, the prints frequently detach from the PEI build plate during printing and cause disasters. And yes, I did level the build plate and perform vibration compensation. Situation gets better at half of the recommended speed. I am gonna try some 3rd party build plate and see whether it helps. 3. Either the remote control program flashprint5 or the printer's firmware has bugs. After one task is finished or terminated halfway, the printer has a high chance of losing its position. When you start a new task, the extruder will go out of range and hit the frame on the right. You will see the out of range error on screen and hear dying sound of the poor timing belt. The program will ask you to home the extruder but don't allow you to by saying system busy doing previous task. BTW, i am already on the latest firmware. 4. Again about the software, unlike klipper, the user interface is only good for multimachine management, it is not very informative or even responsive. The attached manual is also kinda over simplified. I consider myself pretty experienced, but it still took me quite a while to figure out the UI. And yes, I can read both languages on the manual. In summary, the hardware has the potential to compete with best printers in the league, but there are quite a few "solvable" bugs. I am not going to return the machine, the build itself worth the price I paid. I am expecting an OTA maybe? To amuse fellow (potential) buyers, I am attaching a few of my good/died prints.
