I bought this for my 9 year old for his birthday at the end of November 2017. He's a big reader and wanted a place to lounge while reading. I was excited when this first arrived. The outside denim cover is very nice---very sturdy and nice quality. It looks really good. However, the insert inside the bean bag had multiple holes/tears and the tiny beans were escaping everywhere. Within a month, the bean bag was completely unusable and there was a trail of tiny beans all over my house. I'm VERY disappointed in this product.

While the outer cover is made from sturdy fabric and the stitching is sturdy, the inner bag that contains the filling is made very poorly. The fabric is thin but seems ok. The worst part is the stitching of the inner bat. While it has two zippers on top of each other to prevent the filling from spilling, the fabric ripped at the seams in no less than three spots after only three months of use. It was clear that the stitching was made very cheaply and even if I fixed the holes, the seams would come apart within a few weeks in another spot. So basically I would have to restitch the whole inner bag that contains the beads. Horrible!

Maybe I was expecting too much or just hoped it would be something that I would have around for a very long time. Unfortunately this bean bag has no staying power. I have already replaced it once and I am not going to again. The outer bag you sit on is fine. It's washable and actually quite sturdy. So far my 4 and 2 yr old boys have been unable to tear it in any way. This is also where the problem lies. Since I have 2 minions that love laying on it it eventually gets dirty and I have to wash it. Now you get to meet the INNER bag. This thing is total garbage. Its flimsy and is always tearing at the seams and spreading beads all over the place. As of right now I must have like 10 patches on it where the seams have torn open. It's a never ending battle that will eventually cause me to just toss this thing in the trash. I don't want another replacement that will eventually do the same thing. I want a product that lasts.

We bought this for my wife's library/craft room. She wanted something that she could just hang out and read on but didn't really have any space to fit a standard style chair/recliner. This was both an effective and cheap solution to that problem. It's comfortable enough for her to hang out for an hour or two with no discomfort. It looks good and is just big enough for her yet not too big for the small room that we have it in.

I got this for my daughter's room when we redecorated. It looks adorable and easily fits her (she's 8) or even me, and I'm 5'9". The color is a perfect bubblegum pink. I do wish it was a little more filled with "beans." For me I have to fluff it and reposition it a lot before climbing on, but it does the job. I do think I will need to add more filling eventually, but for now we've had it a few months and it's still going strong. UPDATE: We've now had the bean bag chair for about six months, and it definitely needs more filling. It's fine for my daughter, but it doesn't provide much support for me at all anymore. The "beans" are pretty well flattened.

UPDATE: 8 mohths after purchasing two of these bags, I noticed foam balls coming out of both bags. I opened the outer zipper cover, which is supposed to open by key, which I didn't receive, so I used a small screwdriver to pick the lock. After removing the outer layer I noticed that there was a second, thin inner layer made up of a thin, batting material, almost the weight of gauze, with another zipper. The seams along this interior liner had completely split open - even if I sew the areas, the seams and material are so poorly sewn and cheaply made, we will get tears elsewhere along the seams. I've contacted the company for two replacement liners, but their response has been to ask for multiple photos of the bag, including both bags together, in order to investigate and decide if they will do anything. How expensive is a replacement inner liner that is paper thin to begin with? After paying over $200 for both bags in conjunction with the terrible customer service from Flash Furniture, I would give zero stars if I could. Buy from anyone else! ___________________________________________ I paid $154.00 for this bean bag for one of my 8 year old daughters a few months ago, and it has dropped substantially since then. Definitely not worth $154.00 in my opinion. If my kids could veto my rating and give this thing 5 stars, they would. My daughters had been begging for bean bags for their birthday for a year leading up to it. I did some research and found this particular bag online. They had decent reviews, but a bad selection of color choices for what my kids would like - let me just say, forget coordinating these as a part of the house or a piece of adult furniture - I think both beanbags we ended up purchasing have are eyesores and certainly get in the way when my kids drag them out to their resting spots of choice. This particular bag came with a white faux fur cover. It is plush feeling, and feels like minky material to me. Most importantly for my daughter, it is soft and warm. My daughter (and the cats) love curling up on this thing. Often, I have found one or all three of them curled up in it together. I have also found her asleep in her room in the afternoons while reading - she doesn't nap anymore and always hated the idea of it. This must be super comfortable to get her to fall asleep without being asked. The bean bags themselves seem fairly well made - there is a zipper so you can detach the beanbag cover to clean. The bag itself is filled with small pellets of white foam balls. Other reviewers mentioned that they needed to purchase more of these pellets because their bags came fairly deflated. I did not find that to the case with the two I ordered. This bag is labelled oversized for a reason. It weighs 10 pounds, and is 42 x 42 x 19 inches- a size which in our house makes the bag (times two for the other kiddo) very easy for everyone else to trip on. It was shipped in a huge box, completely assembled and ready to go. As bulky as they are, they are easy for my kids to move around the house (by dragging across the floor) when they want an extra seat on the floor to watch a movie, read, play, etc. Maybe consider a larger size, we bought this because it was advertised as large enough for two kids to sit on - this was not the case for us, so we ended up with two. My kids use these constantly, but it is not something I would ever re-buy or recommend to anyone else in this particular size or price point unless their kids really, really, really wanted a beanbag, too.
