I thought all electric tapes are similar and it did not matter who the maker was. But I was wrong. Previous tapes purchased from Amazon and Home Depot performed poorly or were inconsistent in terms of performance: the tapes did not adhere well; they were hard to cut; they did not hold well when stretched; and etc. . This purchase from 3M was different. It comes off relatively easily. It cuts easily with regular sharp scissors. It stretches without snapping. It manages to adhere well even after stretching. It wraps around well and sticks well. You can apply multiple times on top of layers and the tape will still adhere well. It works well in all ways. . My advice for using: Use sharp scissors. Do not handle too much. Make sure your hands are clean. Make sure your scissors are clean. Stretch the tape while still on the roll as your apply and then cut. If you have to apply the tape on top of a previous layer, be sure to press it down well with a blunt object. . Well priced. Sized right. Would buy again. ... show more
