The candles are great. They do not come with batteries and I would suggest getting rechargeable batteries if you are planning on using them a lot. The flickering light on the candles look more like twinkling stars than flickering flames, but the flickering is still really good. If you are planning on hanging them up on your ceiling permanently then I have some good news, the tabs hold up really well and I have had no problems with them. I do not know f they rip ceiling paint off, but I am not anxious to try that out until I have to. The wand works really well and you can turn them on and off without any problems, unless they are scattered around the ceiling, then you will have to click the wand once or twice to get them all on. These were an awesome addition to our decorations and the wand made it so fun to turn on and off! The sticky pads on the discs to hang them are really strong and peeled the paint on our ceiling. Something to keep in mind. The string to hang them is, understandably, thin and it’s stretchy.

I ordered one kit and put it up in the hallway for a halloween party and then ended up ordering another so I could fill a long candelabra too. The kids loved turning them on and off all night, and they looked really beautiful, even the aduls enjoyed them! They each take a whole AAA battery, so I think they're going to last a long time before they run out, longer than the ones that have a little watch battery. They were an absolute pain in the butt to string, but honestly so cute and fun that now I'm not even mad. Took me a couple hours while watching a show with the hubby though, so don't expect to throw these up in 5 minutes! I do think I'll be able to store them prestrung for future use though, will just need to change the sticky bit next year. Which the kit actually comes with tons of extra so at least I'll get another years use before I have to find and buy any! ... show more

We had so much fun with these candles this Halloween season. They remind me of Harry Potter hanging candles. They come with everything you need to hang them and were easy to put together. I had a few they didn’t want to light up, but they come with extras. The batteries I used lasted about a month, being turned on every night. The wand that turns them on and off is so fun, especially for kiddos. They are great value for the money. Only thing that was a negative for me, was that it took off the ceiling paint when I pulled them down. Definitely will put up again for Halloween time. ... show more

Candles are great! The flicker setting is so fun and sets the atmosphere well. So beautiful and fun! These lose two stars for me because the pieces that attach to the ceiling wrecked the ceiling paint, pulling chunks off. I have to patch and paint my ceiling to fix it. We even tried to remove them carefully using a variety of ways. A friend of mine said they did the same to her ceiling. So, don’t use the adhesive that comes with the candles unless you are willing to patch your ceilings afterwards! ... show more
