I purchased the FoxAlien 40W laser with high hopes, but the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. I’ve owned the machine for less than a year and it has under an hour of actual burn time — yet it has already stopped functioning. When I reached out to FoxAlien’s after-sales support, I expected a reasonable warranty process. Instead, I spent over a month going back and forth, troubleshooting every possible issue at their request. Despite all the time and effort I put into following their steps, I was finally told that the laser was not covered under warranty. For a machine at this price point, I expected reliability and accountability from the manufacturer. Instead, I’m left with an expensive paperweight and a lot of wasted time.     • Needs overhaul
The wiring setup on this is horrible. To top it off, most of the time the laser would not even work. Buy a real laser machine and don't waste money on this.

    • Inaccurate power description
It says it's a 40 watt laser which is actually input power although it says output power. The true output power is the same as the optical output power which is 10 watts. Dont buy this thinking that you're going to get 40 watts of cutting power because you're not...you're getting 10 watts of cutting power, 1/4 of what they want you to think you're getting. Always compare optical output power when checking out lasers because other brands may say 40w and actually only have 7.5 or as low as 5watts of optical output power and you're trying to figure out why this new laser doesn't cut as good as the one it replaced. Always check optical output power wattage and don't be fooled by less than honest advertisement. ... show more

    • Does not meet expectations that are marketed at all.
Doesn’t work as advertised at all. Tried everything to cut 3 mm plywood and even at 10mm/min and 90% power i gave up after like 7-8 passes. Save your money and get a real 40w laser instead this mis-marketed (10w) laser. The picture even shows it cuts 7mm plywood and it’s straight up lie, I’ve changed my s-settings to make sure it was max power and spent months trying to get it to do as marketed and it doesn’t. I don’t usually write reviews but very disappointed. ... show more
