  • Still going strong after two and a half years
This was my 4th pair of Five Tens, but my first pair of Freerider Pros (as opposed to just Freeriders). I love these so much more than the regular Freeriders. They have a more slim look and fit me much better. Despite complaints about quality decline after the Adidas acquisition some years ago, I've not had a problem with any of my Five Tens. I bought these at full price and still consider the price fair for what I got. I've since bought two more pairs of Pros--one for traveling and another sitting in the box. Both were half price so I couldn't resist. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Size: 11.5 Color: Core Black/Cloud White/Cloud White
I've ridden MTBs for 30+ yrs and always with clipless pedals. Bought these shoes and Race Face Atlas flat pedals for use in rooty, rocky, gravelly single track trails in my area to help reduce unexpected low-speed/no-speed crashes. The shoes stick to the pedals very well through full pedal rotation with varied amounts of torquing and step on/step off takes zero thought. The soles are stiff enough to transfer power to the bike efficiently but have enough flex for normally walking, driving, etc. The uppers are a bit stiff out of the box but expect that'll improve with more use. Great shoe and a well earned reputation as one of the best flat MTB shoes available regardless of price point. ... show more

  • Comfortable and durable!!
Size: 9 Color: Core Black/Cloud White/Cloud White
Had a friend recommend these to me for mountain biking. These were much less than at our local bike shop for the same shoe. They’re comfortable, and the sole is stiff which works great on the flat pedals. I’d highly recommend them! I don’t leave home without them on any ride!

  • Definitely designed for Mountain Biking.
Size: 11.5 Color: Core Black/Cloud White/Cloud White
These shoes surprised me. I measured my foot using a tape measure from my heel to my longest toe. 11.5 is my size. I ordered the 11.5 assuming no issues. When I first put them on, they felt very off. Such as the shoe felt very stiff. I attribute this to their impact resistant material. Further, it felt very tight, especially on the sides (I have large/wide feet). And there was a lump-like feeling when just standing and walking with them. I was beginning to regret my purchase, but this is why I will absolutely not return it and instead loved it 10× more than I could of thought initially. Here is what I did: 1) I immediately loosened the laces. -That fixed the tightness a bit. The shoe felt very "snug". But not completely comfortable yet... 2) I forced myself to wear the shoe for 1 to 2 days, and then a bike ride or two. -This fixed the following: •Tightness was gone, it felt comfortable and it definitely widened according to my foot size. •The stiffness was not as noticeable as well. I attribute this to the shoe widening a bit to my foot. •Lump was not noticeable either, so I assume my body weight, down pressure, and wearing it for 1 to 2 days definitely helped bring the feeling of a lump down. After those negatives were taken care of, i must say the shoe looks legit. It definitely protects your toes and the sides of your feet. And the grip, my goodness, the grip is perfect for those who ride with clipless pedals or just want more grip when sending it downhill. The shoe gave me confidence when coming down rock gardens, loose dirt, ruts from rain, stumps, and jumps. This shoe does add to your mountain biking ability because of how well it performs under those conditions. If you want a shoe that wont slip while riding. This is it. It is expensive, but i rather feel secure riding than slip and potentially go over the bars or get into an accident. Also, it does help a lot on those long climbs. And it doesn't feel uncomfortable anymore. Worth spending the money IMO. Before you give up on them, try a size up too. It takes sometime for sure, just to get used to this shoe. But the benefits are worth it. ... show more

  • Works for me
Size: 11.5 Color: Black/Black/White
I am an above the knee amputee and needed shoes to help me keep foot on pedal. I was not comfortable using clip in pedals. These shoes will definitely keep your feet on pedals. I don’t think they would be very comfortable as daily wear, they are quite stiff. I found the size of the shoes okay.

  • I really like these shoes!
Size: 10 Color: Grey Five/Cloud White/Halo Blue
I finally decided to get shoes designed for biking. I started commuting on my gravel bike and everyday shoes just didn’t give me the confidence of “sticking” to the pedals. These shoes allow me to keep pedaling with confidence without slipping or folding around the pedal even if I reposition my feet. These shoes are stiff and durable. I would not wear these as casual everyday shoes though. Be safe! ... show more

  • Great quality
Size: 9.5 Color: Core Black/Carbon/Wonder White
These shoes are very comfortable and grip the pedals good. Worth the money

  • Great
Size: 14 Color: Core Black/Cloud White/Cloud White
I purchased these because my foot was slipping on the pedals when using regular tennis shoes. I am a size 14 med and they fit perfect. They are not made for walking so if you are getting them to walk I would advise against it.
