  • Solves issue of pulling cable and leave end free
Size: 2 Ton/4400Lbs
This is a heavy 2T cable puller. What I like is it has the rating on it, because in a few years, I wouldn't remember the size. Importantly it has a movable gate/door to close over the open side of the wire channel, so the wire doesn't slide out the side. This gate/door has no way to lock it in place, would be better if it did. Another issue to watch for is this is coarsely made, and not finished well, so there could be metal spurs/splinters on it. I pulled the spur off mine and will rub it with some silicone carbide sandpaper to smooth it a bit. My use for this is to set some cables in place, now I can pull hard on them and use the free end of the cable to attach a turnbuckle permanently, leaving lots of turnbuckle tightening to pull the wire fully tight. Can't use a come-along on the cable as it required a loop to hook and then is in the way. ... show more

  • Heavy, reliable
Size: 2 Ton/4400Lbs
This seems to be a durable, well-made tool. It appears exactly like what you would buy in your local hardware or farm-store, same finely mottled look as other drop forged chain and cable parts, same yellow-metallic coating. I used this with some cable to pull some old equipment out of a ditch. It basically made it so that I was able to use the cable like a chain, where you can easily hook on at any point of the length as opposed to having to always hook to a loop formed at the end. I do think, however, if your doing a lot of heavy pulls, this will wear the cable a bit as the grip does slightly deform the area it grabs under a heavy load. On lighter pulls it leaves no marks. ... show more

  • Great!
Size: 1 Ton/2200Lbs
Used it to tighten a sagging zipline we put up. I'm not good with these things so it took a bit of looking at the pictures to figure it out, but it eventually worked. Great, tight grip. Fit our wire perfectly. Extremely solid cable puller. Very happy with it.

  • The largest cable it will handle is 5/8 inch or 16mm
Size: 1 Ton/2200Lbs
The description states 7/8 inch max cable size when in fact it maxes out at 16mm or 5/8 inch. Other than that I liked it I bought the next size up.

  • Thank you to the inventor. 12 years of 2 constant issues solved
Size: 2 Ton/4400Lbs
I use drill winches, truck winches, trailer winches, hoists and come a longs for misc lifting and pulling task at job sites. My 2 issues were always needing to position myself close enough and/or constantly breaking and buying synthetic ropes. I paired this with a loose 50 foot steel 5/8 line and it changed everything! I can adjust my spool line for maximum pull force without moving and hookup the spare line, easily adjusting to my needed length, with the excess dangling. If I knew this existed, I would have bought this years ago. Trust me, this is a must have if you winch often and have similar issues. My only gripe is the safety latch not having a sufficient detent for locking it in place. Bends easily and just flops around. Ill also note a plus in the design being that the teeth dont damage the line which was one of my concerns. They have just the right amount of bite with no excessively sharp edges. Very very, VERY pleased! ... show more

  • Works great for barbed wire
Size: 2 Ton/4400Lbs
It does what it claims, and seems to be made of a good, quality material. I used it to stretch some normal sized barbed wire, and it worked without issue. This is the first one I have used that has the sliding gate, to help prevent the wire from popping out, and it seemed to work as designed. I have several pullers, but this will be my new primary choice. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
Size: 2 Ton/4400Lbs
Grips cable like a champ. Easy to use, straightforward design. Definitely a useful addition to my toolkit. On the farm, homestead or trail this will come in handy.

  • Works on 5/8” wire rope
Size: 2 Ton/4400Lbs
I have two 50’ wire ropes but I was previously unable to shorten their length. Now I can pull trees out of the woods much easier because I don’t need to travel 50’. I use a snatch block, a logging chain, and my tractor to pull trees out. It is sometimes hard to find 50’ of straight travel on my property, so this come-along makes it so I can travel shorter distances. It also grips very well onto my 5/8” wire rope and doesn’t slip when pulling out 500 lbs trunks up hill. It’s a great alternative to an expensive winch. ... show more
