  • If you don't own tools and have mechanical skills, don't buy it or don't gripe about the shortfalls.
Color: Black
First and foremost: This is not a Honda or Yamaha... if you are not mechanically inclined and own some hand tools, you will probably be quickly disappointed, so move on. If you want a high quality bike that you will not have to repair, maintain and customize, go buy a new Yamaha PW50 for $1500. If you like like tinkering, customizing and enjoy a bargain, read on. Overall, this little bike is a good value. Like all inexpensive Chinese powersports products, it is for the most part solid and reliable. The frame is solid with good welds. The engine is a Honda GX35 clone, parts aplenty. The plastics and controls are cheaply made and will break at some point. Replacement parts are dirt cheap and readily available. The clutch/chain drive is the same thing as many pocket bikes and bicycle engine kits, readily available. You WILL have to tighten bolts, add lock washers and fix piddly things. Initial impressions and suggestions: 1. Immediately drain the oil that comes in it and replace it. Mine had fine metal particles from machining (They don't do a great job cleaning engine parts before assembly) I put in Mobil1 10W40 and will change it again after the first few hours of use. 2. This little bike is way too fast for a beginner. The stock twist throttle appears to be adjustable, but is poorly designed and made and does not actually adjust. Replace it with a thumb throttle (with an actual stop screw to limit speed) for about $15 here on Amazon. 3. Other reviewers had mentioned the rear sprocket loosening as an issue. I found the initial chain tension extremely tight, and not lubricated. Remove the rear axle nut and chain adjuster to get a straight shot at the socket head cap screws, remove them one at a time and add lock washers (and a drop of loctite) to each bolt to prevent this issue. Lubricate the main drive chain with some real chain lube. 4. The gear reduction chaincase (from the clutch to the rear drive chain) has very poor lubrication from the factory (looks like very small amount of clear silicone grease). Remove the four small and two larger bolts from the cover and put a healthy amount of real chain/bearing grease on the internal chain and sprockets. 5. Check the bike over after each use until you are comfortable that the little issues are worked out. I will update this review as we put more hours on it. ... show more

  • Really not worth the aggrivation
Color: Black
update: it has maybe 4 hours on the motor. Started right up after winter but stopped running after 20 min . Not it starts but won't move with the 50lb kid on it. This was a lot of money for what actually is a piece of junk. DO Not waste your dollars. Please learn from my mistake. First off please drain the oil after about 20 min of run time. The amount of metal flakes in the oil is unbelievable I changed it 3 times the first day. The chain was constantly falling off so pay attention to that adjustment. The pull start self destructed the first week. Now the throttle cable is too loose, it is not an adjustable throttle even though it looks like one. I will have to use some enginuity. 10 yo enjoys riding it but he definitely needs a pit crew for repairs ... show more

  • Very small
Color: Black
Great little mini bike but too small for my 12 year old grandson. Fits 6-8 year olds better.

  • A great gift!
Color: Black
Bought for my son and it remains his favorite outdoor toy for over 6 months now! Easy to assemble and great quality. Speed is perfect for a 7 year old.

  • Great product GREAT seller
Color: Black
My son LOVES it. He is 5' and he feels it is a little small, but it doesn't stop him from using it. His knees come up and he is just inexperienced at turning with his knees there. I saw a review where someone is 5'10" and was fine...so? There was an issue in the first day where the chain kept coming off, because the main sprocket was bent. I contacted the seller and had a replacement here in a week. No questions, no extra money. Unbelievably GREAT service! Good buy! ... show more

  • Be Thorough, Be a Mechanic
Color: Black
If you don't know how to work on a bike or small engines, you may want to look elsewhere. There's a decent amount of mechanical know-how required just to get it to a safe operating standard. Bolts are loose, welds are iffy in a spot or two, and you'll need to tune the carburetor a bit before sending little Jimmy on his first minibike adventure. In my case, the bike had the following problems right off the line: Low oil with fine metal shavings. (Changed to Rotella T4, ran for an hour, changed again.) Bad welds. (Grinder, re-welded.) Dry chain. (Lubed.) Spark plug boot/spring were all kinds of weird. (Deweirded with a proper boot/spring.) Chain too tight. (Chain loosened a bit.) RUST IN FUEL TANK. (Removed, added CLR and marbles, flushed.) Spark plug loose. (Tightened.) Rear wheel/sprocket out of true/bent barrel. (Send it, but sheesh.) Throttle cable loose, not adjusted at all from factory. (Adjusted.) High idle, not adjusted from factory. (Adjusted.) Approx 1/2 of fasteners only finger tight or worse. (Tightened.) Added proper grease to chain case. Unless you're prepared to do the above, or more, this isn't the minibike you're looking for. ... show more

  • Broke almost immediately :(
Color: Black
The bike is tiny and cute. My grandkids were thrilled with it and had fun the short time they got to ride it. The first time it was rode, the tire came off the rim and got a hole in it. My husband fixed it and the kids were able to ride again. Unfortunately on day 3 of riding the mini bike - the engine blew up while my grandson was riding it in our back yard. So disappointing! There is a no return policy due to the fact the mini bike uses gasoline. So we are out the money and left with a worthless piece of metal. Before that happened I was going to provide a rave review based on how my grandkids were enjoying it. Frustrated, sad and expensive for a 3 day toy. Sandy - MN ... show more
