I'm pretty happy with this. Used to sharpen my dull kitchen knife and a hatchet. I used another sharpener from QVC shopping network for the kitchen knifes. That one would not get the knife sharp enough to slice a tomato. This Fiskars sharpener did! For the hatchet, it was dull for years.. I used a separate grinding wheel to form a rough edge/angle. Then I finished it off with the Fiskars. The hatchet was my friends so I'm not sure how the edge Will hold. He rarely uses it. I also improved the factory edge on my brown Gerber hatchet. It came barely sharpened. The Fiskars did a good job. 30° axe angle allowed me to slice through construction paper. 15° knife side allowed my kitchen knife to slice through notebook paper with ease. Haven't had a chance to use it much. It did sharpen my x27 axe very nicely. Does not work at all on the Fiskars Splitting Maul (maul is too wide). I tried sharpening a machete blade and the blade actually cut into the plastic housing a bit. This should be used only for the Fiskars axes and knives. If you use this on other axes or knives, be sure the heads and blades fit through correctly with the desired profile without going past the sharpening stones. I had to buy this from a seller in the UK, since no one in the US sells these. ?? It arrived when promised - in about 4 or so weeks. It seems a bit overpriced for a plastic sharpening tool. But it does make sharpening the Fiskars x27 a breeze without messing up its profile. This is a must have for me, since the Fiskars head is soft metal and needs frequent sharpening. ... show more

I now own three of these Fiskars sharpeners, totally happy with them. I keep one in the garage for my hatchets and knives. One in the kitchen for kitchen knives, and one with my personal edc knives. Puts a great edge on any blade. Highly recommend this product.

Axe sharpener works fine. Pull-sharpener doesn't work, as pull sharpeners (in general) fundamentally do not work.

This thing is trash. It’s all plastic the sharpening wheel keeps falling out. The slider inside keeps falling out, and it’s doesn’t sharpen a for squat. This will be getting returned even if I’ve got to pay 6.00 for UPS to pick the thing up.
