Reel mowers are not mulching. Unless you cut your grass weekly you might have to rake. This solves the issue. Sturdy. Easy to put together and to put on mower. Only complaint is the wing nut tightener to keep the catcher in the right spot.

First, the quality of this mower is evident as soon as you take it out of the box. Buyers will not be disappointed in that regard. Buyers with a completely level lawn will be pleased as well. My lawn in not perfectly level and it’s an effort for me to push. Now saying that I am 73 years old, but I’m rather fit. I’m not going to give up on this yet, but I will probably end up returning it. Now all that being said the mower itself is excellent. It cuts well, the quality is evident too. If Fiskar manufactured a battery powered self-propelled version of this I would be inline to buy one even at a much higher price. It kind of catches the grass but has issues. Pros: It catches some grass Pretty easy to remove and replace Mostly stays in place Cons: Doesn’t hold much grass, you have to dump it a lot Grass doesn’t stay in the catcher as it starts to fill up- this is the big one. It is angled in a way that pitches the clippings toward the blades. Bounces a lot as you hit bumps making it spill grass and come loose Clamp system that holds it in place slips so have to re-adjust regularly Being in front can be inconvenient when mowing up to something. This was listed as compatible with the Fiskars 17" Reel Push Mower. When it arrived, it is made for the 18" mower and does not fit the 17" mower. Beware when purchasing. No value if it doesn't fit. This was a gift for my son and he had already gotten rid of the box it came in.

The bag is mounted on the front of the mower in front of the cutting wheel so you can’t get very close to some areas especially under bushes and pine trees. It’s awkward trying to cut these areas

Bermuda is supposed to be cut very short. The grass catcher has to emptied too often unless the cutting height is set to 1.5" or higher. At 1.5 it's an excellent product!
