I would have given 5 stars but gave 4 because I was disappointed that the trowel and cultivator was not made from metal. Overall the product is great especially with the kneeling cushion. I used the pruner for the first time over the weekend and it was great. The material on the handle gave me the ability to have a good grip. I did not get to use the trowel and cultivator as yet due to snow still being on the ground but I will use as soon as Spring is here. I hope they do not break due to the material it is made from. However, they do seem sturdy. UPDATE: May 17, 2014 I have decided to make these items 5 stars after making the comment that the items were not made from metal. The set has proven to be durable and I have used them numerous times since being purchased. They have been left out in the elements along with being dropped numerous times. Family members have inquired about them and their wish for a set of their own ... show more

    • Plastic won't work on our soil.
I have bought several Fiskars items and they are great, but this was a disappointment. The trowel and cultivator were plastic (and I'm not talking about the handles)!! Who digs with plastic unless you're at the beach? The pruners were okay, but I was only going to use them as a spare, as I had just bought a pair of Fiskar pruners that are great. On the pruner that came with the set, the spring was tough to open them and they weren't easy to close either. If you have sandy soil and won't be pruning much, this may be okay, but not for clay soil and lots of pruning. ... show more
