I have only had this for a few days. It replaces my Fiskars cutter that has a rotary blade rather than a sharp pointy razor sharp blade 😁. The only problem is with the cutter shredding the paper a few times. Out of about 150 cuts I had one piece of regular paper and one piece of card stock shred. I cannot figure out why. I have a soft brush to clean out the channel that the blade slides through. The rotary cutter I mentioned never did that. I placed an order for replacement blades but apparently they’re back ordered - not that I want to replace a blade after only a few days of cutting. I am open to helpful suggestions. ... show more

I occasionally want to cut up some business cards. I bought one of these little paper cutters with some reservation. It does a really good job as long as you understand the limitations and after I figured out a trick or two. First hint is to keep your left hand pressing down on the clear guide. It holds the paper tight and keeps it from moving. Second, you can't really rely on the cutter being square vs the top edge. I did not try to cut more than one piece at a time but I never did that even on my big office paper cutter. You have to understand where you want to cut and then line up the paper accordingly. Having said that, if you are looking to cut a few pieces of paper, some card stock, in small quantities this works pretty well and it doesn't take up a lot of space. It did a great job of shaving micro edges of the card stock, so that was great. ... show more

I had a smaller one that was not Fiskars that would not cut all the way through and since that was my first ever guillotine I thought maybe they are like that, but I took a chance and went for this Fiskars one. It came overseas from Amazon UK which was another reason I was scared it might get here crushed or destroyed, but shipping was free and fast and got here in mint condition and this one cuts perfectly, no flaws!
