After retiring from the marine industry and stepping off the boats and selling or gifting all my boat type fishing equipment I began fishing again from the beaches and jetties that started my love for fishing unfortunately do to my age I found it increasingly difficult to walk the few miles up and down the beach with all my stuff like I use to mostly due to arthritis I found my need to use my hands and arms for balancing more than carrying stuff .this back pack is awesome there's a ton out pockets I keep my plugs and tins snap swivels bait hooks crimps sinkers and loads of stuff in the plastic storage boxes and a small soft cooler with bunker chunks and clam bellies in the top compartment I keep my sand spike in one of the rod holders on the side and a small collapsible spinning rod with van Stahls smallest reel in the other for snagging bait and in case small blue fish storming the beach for fun leaving my hands free one for my 12 footer with a conventional Newell surf rod that doubles as a walking staff for us old people.The functionality of this back pack is top notch the zippers are heavy duty case itself is nylon and I found it is quite waterproof not only does it look good but it works great I have now distributed the weight on to my shoulders and hips as opposed to my arms and lower back carrying things in front of me. Which I find incredibly comfortable and less strenuous while walking up and down to Sandy Beach I also found room to keep a couple of bottles of water and some snacks there's plenty of pockets for my keys sunglasses and my cell phone I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in it

I got this as a gift for my husband that loves fishing and he absolutely loved this back pack. He got so excited when he opened it up and saw the backpack. He was so happy to put all his fishing gear in it.

This fishing box/backpack has plenty of room. The quality seems to be very good, and it looks great. It comes with 3 boxes, but they are a pretty standard size and you can add more. The 3 that come with it have fixed compartments, but it has a bunch of them. It is two-sided with compartments on both sides of the box. This pack easily fits at least 6 of these boxes if you want to use it that way. If you don't use additional boxes, the spare "empty" room would be perfect to fit your lunch, some raingear, or other stuff. It has a lot of zippered storage pockets to fit anything you can think of. There are a couple of hidden ones (pockets in pockets) and one on the bottom (maybe perfect to store instructions, maps, etc.). If you can fill every pocket, you may have too much stuff. My problem would be remembering what is in every pocket. One thing that is missing, in my opinion, is one or two plastic loops on the outside to attach a tether for pliers or a nipper. You can certainly attach it elsewhere, like around one of the straps, but a couple dedicated loops would be good. The rain cover has a silvery back-side. I can think of a few uses for this, beyond covering the pack. For instance, the cover could be placed over a minnow bucket silver-side out to help keep them cooler in the sun, or it could be used as an emergency reflector. I am not planning to go hike-fishing with this pack. The backpack straps will be a convenience for carrying tackle from my basement to my boat. That being said, I think it would be pretty comfortable if you are packing for a long day of fishing. It does have adjustable straps and a cross-strap to keep the pack from sliding off of your arms.
