I had a hard time when it first came. It was super loose. After tightening the reel to no free spin and working my way backwards it became manageable. Really does have some finesse which is nice. Drag is a little stiff though. Maybe as it breaks in and I get more used to it, it will be a regular in the rotation. I recommend it for first time bait cast users. At the price point, this is a great reel. The only issue so far is it makes a weird clicking noise when you cast. The spool speed adjusting knob and magnetic brakes work as they should and it’s held up to 2 fishing trips so far.
