Tighten it to locked at the beginning and slowly undo it as you get more comfortable.
Color: Right-Black-7.2:1
I had a hard time when it first came. It was super loose. After tightening the reel to no free spin and working my way backwards it became manageable. Really does have some finesse which is nice. Drag is a little stiff though. Maybe as it breaks in and I get more used to it, it will be a regular in the rotation. I recommend it for first time bait cast users. Just take your time and be ready to unravel a few birdnests. ... show more

Great Reel
Color: Right-Black-7.2:1
After installing this reel on my rod I went out for a day of fishing. After only only a few casts I got a huge bite and my boat lurched forward. I fought for 3 hours until i finally saw something surface. All of a sudden standing before was a giant crustacean from the Paleolithic era. I was terrified as the creature bent down and whispered “can i get about tree fiddy” I yelled “DAMN IT MONSTA” and turned my boat around went home. Great reel love the color. ... show more
