The reel worked flawlessly! The rod however, not so great. After casting and reeling for about thirty minutes. I caught my first fish with it and while reeling it in the tip eye broke off. The fish wasn't very big so I blame poor craftsmanship. The ease of travel was great! I brought it with me to our place in the Dominican Republic with no issues whatsoever. I gave three stars for the reel and ease of travel. I'll see if I can buy a rod locally. ... show more

I've used these poles 5 times now. They seem very durable and they're very easy to extend and shrink even with the line attached. They fit right under my seat in my truck, you have to take the reel off one of them for both to fit in the bag they come with but it's very easy to do. The lures it come with are nothing special but I like the small tackle box, I can use it for my favorite baits and it fits in my pocket. My only problem is that the fishing line these poles come with is very cheap and heavy and won't cast far. I replaced the line after my first time using it. Other than that I'm very happy with the purchase and these poles were so affordable that if they ever do break then I'll buy another set without hesitation. But I doubt the rods themselves will ever break. They seem tough. ... show more

Bought these for a cheap fix for now but it ended up being a better product after using them. Now sure I only have a weekend using them but so far they handle some decent weight for the pole.

They give us a rating 50/100 because one pole and real, not so much the pole, but the real itself will not walk in and makes it very ineffective when you were casting I’m trying to block your reel in the place. All it does is wanna expel line and that is not a good thing to a real fisherman so I rate the other pole is zero and the other pole of 50 keep in mind when buying this combo. ... show more
