If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer). * These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: My older bluetooth speaker only gets a few hours of battery life. It was time for a replacement. Likes: * Form factor is cool. It's like an 80s boombox without the D batteries. * USB-C charging * Very lightweight which was listed on the product page but it's hard to visualize with the picture on the listing. This thing really weighs almost nothing for how large it is. * Highs and mids sound good. No likes: * The bass is very tinny and weak. I normally would not dock a $20 speaker like this a star for having bad bass but it specifically listed this as a feature on the Amazon listing so I was anticipating something better. Would I pay full price for this product: I do think $20 is a good price for this speaker, however if I did not get this through Vine I would return it and spend more on something with a better low end response. Final thoughts: I'm a bit of an audiophile so this speaker was a little bit of a letdown for me. I mean to be fair, I didn't have massive hopes for a $20 speaker and for that price I do think this is a good value if you don't need thumping bass. If you have $20, want a bluetooth speaker and don't need the best sound quality this is a good bet.

I absolutely love the look of this speaker! When I opened it, my hubby said, "Is that a boombox?!". So I had to throw it up on my shoulder and start dancing around lol. I'm truly amazed, especially given the size, by how lightweight it is! Now first of all, everyone needs to realize that this is a $20, so you're not going to get premium sound quality. That being said, it puts out decent quality sound. There isn't a ton of bass output, so if bass is you're thing, this isn't the speaker for you. It is, however, very durable and has really cool changing light effects on both ends. I love the handle on it, making it so convenient to carry around. It has decent volume output. The voice prompts definitely have loud volume lol. The voice cracks us up...all of our devices have a snobby-sounding female voice, but this has a loud male voice. We like it lol. This is the perfect speaker for camping, the beach, BBQs, kids' birthday parties, etc. It's durable enough to withstand these elements and activities, yet if something happens to it, you're not going to break the bank to replace it. This speaker also has a great battery life (despite all of the lights) and charges fairly quickly (charger is included). One other feature we love about it is that it also has a radio mode. I think this speaker is a winner. Just know that you're paying for decent, not top of the line, sound quality. I do wish the bass sounded a little better, but overall am happy with this item.

This is a pretty decent speaker and has some good volume. The one thing that I wished it had was more bass to it as it's pretty non-existent. The volume can get quite loud and the battery lasts for quite a while which is great! The rgb led's on the side make the speaker look pretty cool as well. I also like that it has a carrying handle on it for easier portability. All in all, this speaker works and works good. It was super easy to connect to my mobile devices and even my computers (laptop and desktop). I'm enjoying the speaker quite well but like I said, I wish it had some bass to it.

I recently received this portable Bluetooth speaker and have been using it for over a week now. I really didn't have high expectations to begin with based on the price point. However, I'm not sure if I got a bad one (a dud?) but it has horrible audio when playing music and the voice prompts are deafeningly loud, by default! If you do turn it down, once you power it off and on again, the prompts are back at 100% volume which is way too loud. I recorded a video to show how it screams (when powered on and connecting to Bluetooth) but I fear it would scare some unsuspecting viewer if I uploaded it.

Sounds great but has sound blips, battery lasts for quite some time even with the lights, the sound has a great cast that you can hear it even at a low volume, and the handle is fabulous but for some reason I am having blips in music.

This is a really cool idea...bring back the boombox vibes at an affordable price. The sound quality overall is OK, but I wish it had more bass, but I'm also not going to be too critical considering its affordability. RGB lights are on everything now lol, and these ones are also cool, but I prefer to turn them off in order to save energy. Pairing with my phone was quick and easy. My only minor issue would be that the baked in sounds for doing stuff like turning it on are rather loud, and I feel could use some adjustment.
