I bought because the picture has the kind of rasor blade i use. Very misleading. It comes with a cheap double sided blade. It will do the job until I run out of blades then it goes into the trash when I'm done.

For an inexpensive scraper, it does an excellent job of cleaning off hard algae and bacteria growth. You get several extra razor blades with the handle and it has a nice cover for the blade as a safety feature when you aren't using it.

Very fast shipping and product is as described however the plastic handle is very weak and broke within a minute of using it. The blade itself is of a nice size, it easily and with little effort cleaned the glass and it comes with a Allen wrench to open the head for easy change of the blade when dull ... show more

    • Blades Work but Handle too Flimsy
It arrived within a few days in a small package. It came with a few extra blades, a cover, and an extension arm. They are made of such flimsy, thin plastic, though. It does not work whatsoever unless you hold it close to the blade, making the handle useless. Since I have a tall 40 gallon tank, I had to shove my arm way down into the water to get the algae off. Grateful the algae is gone, but I got the scraper to avoid the mess and hassle, which I encountered anyway. I would've just saved $ and used a razor alone if I'd had known the handle wouldn't work. ... show more

The only reason I did not give it a 1 star overall is that perhaps it could be useful in mini tank. It takes special edge blades not regular single edge blades. Yes it is tiny and falls apart easily. I tried it out in my 60 gallon tank and it fell apart first try. After that it went into the garbage. ... show more
