    • Awesome Fish Hook Removal Tool
This tool is well designed and easy to use, much easier to use than the traditional needle nose type pliers. My needle nose tools are getting extended R&R in my tackle box since I got this device, it's that awesome. Since the jaws of this device pivot near the end it's much easier to get it in place, and actually see what you're doing. You squeeze the handle to insert it in the fishes mouth, release slightly to grasp the hook and squeeze again as you manipulate the hook and bring it out. It very effectively keeps one's fingers well back from any sharp teeth that may be present. This tool would be a great gift to give to a fisherman friend or family member, it would be greatly appreciated. I really can't imagine doing any serious fishing without this apparatus now. I was pleasantly surprised at how well made and durable this was. It's nice and sturdy using a good thick metal and spring. This will definitely hold up to a lot of use. The only issue I have with it is the handle. The angle of it and how it rests against your thumb isn't great. If your hands are wet this would easily slip out of your hand. I might try to dip it in some rubber or something so it provides a better grip. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with it especially if you can modify the grip some. ... show more
