  • Finally! An ebook done right!
About this book: I'm a violin noobie of 4 months, but I can read sheet music and play other instruments. This book is not tabbed, youhave at least basic understanding of reading sheet music. It helps if you know the songs too. This book contains great selection of classical and modern pop. Truly wonderful songs to play on a violin. About the ebook format: I am so happy that Hal Leonard invested on Quality Assurance. The table of contents are linkable. There are no inserted characters that may confuse the readers. You can zoom in and zoom out with ease. All notes are very clear even on a 10 inch ipad or Fire tablet. The price of this book is quite a bargain considering the work done and the song arrangements that even a violin noobie can appreciate. Well done! ... show more

  • Great mix of popular songs.
Not a good choice for beginners. Would have been better with the lyrics. Book was in great shape for a used one.

  • Hmmm.. About 35 songs you should play on Cello, and 15 others...
a WIDE range of tunes, many that have an iconic cello part - but NOT when the Cello is the ONLY instrument! Wish there were accompaniments included or made available via download...

  • Fantastic Book for Intermediate Harpists
Misleading title on a fantastic harp book. These are definitely a great selection of pieces every harpist longs to play, HOWEVER the arrangements are more suitable for advanced-intermediate lever harp players. The notation is excellent! Lever and pedal markings are clearly written. Chord markings are included as well, making it great for improvising fresh accompaniments over the repeats or playing duets with other instrumentalists. This books has saved me countless hours of arranging (and money), so that I can spend more time practicing! ... show more

  • Mostly for pedal harps.
The book was in excellent condition, and arrived sooner than expected. But I was disappointed because the arrangements are geared more towards pedal harps. One song had 3 flats. This would have been very hard to play on a lever harp.

  • Excellent -- the Title is Accurate!
After not playing a clarinet for over 40 years, I decided to get back into playing recreationally by way of a low C bass clarinet. Even though I haven't play for so long, I was and still am rather good, and getting back up to speed rather quickly. This book has been perfect for this endeavor. The songs aren't too difficult, but there are some that aren't exactly easy either. It's a really good mix and I've enjoyed playing them. Highly recommend this book for (probably intermediate) students as well as old folks like me reliving their bandy glory days from high school. ... show more
