Easy to tune
Works great

Great value antenna
Really great antennas. I actually own two of these antennas, one is 3ft the other is 4ft. The 4ft version is on my tractor trailer and I can tune it to a perfect SWR of 1:1 right in the middle of the band at channel 20. The 3ft version also tunes up nicely but I can only get it to 1.3:1 swr at channel 20 which for CB is still a really good performance. Overall I love both of my antennas. They are a great value. I'd also like to add that the 4ft version tunes up very nice on the 10 meter ham band too. I've actually used it for portable ops on 10 meters with a ham radio and made a bunch of contacts.

Better than the firestik 2
Had to go to a fender mount on my new 2023 f150 due to it being aluminum and having a tanau cover. This is ALL you want on a fender mount! I had a 4 foot firestik 2 on a mag mount on my last truck and it wouldve destroyed my fender mount on this truck. This is absolutely perfect. BTW a procomm medium duty spring is the perfect spring for this. Light duty was wayyy too floppy and a heavy duty would snap this antenna off before bending. Was so easy to tune to 1.1 swr and works exactly like it should. Looks good on my truck and it is nice it being thinner and lighter. Definitely recommend. Cap was black to match antenna

3' Firefly - A thinner version of the 3' Firestik II
Pros: Lighter, thinner, and more flexible than a standard Firestik II Reduced wind resistance compared to a standard Firestik II Fantastic tx/rx range Good weather band reception Cons: Very narrow banded (SWR difference of 0.9 from 1 to 19 to 40 when tuned) The tunable tip is more delicate than the firestik II - when i went to finger-tighten the keeper nut, I discovered that the cylindrical cap that the screw and nut attach to can spin inside the vinyl coating, and can also be slid up and down inside the vinyl. If yours does this, dab a small bit of superglue where the vinyl meets the cap, and let it cure. If this cap slides up, down, and around too much when tuning, it can separate from the wound coil on the fiberglass antenna, and leave you with a useless, high-swr antenna. The Bottom LIne: This is a Firestik - it is a great antenna, period. If you can't get away with the heavier and less flexible standard firestik, this is the next best thing. Just make sure you tune it properly, because it has a narrower band than an original firestik, and remember to be gentle with the tip when tuning.

Great for Jeep Wrangler
I am using this on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK. It works great and was very easy to tune. I am getting perfect SWR readings and excellent reception. Looks great as well. I have used it with my Midland 75-822 CB and I have no issues getting great reception on Jeep runs or even on the highway listening to truckers complain. The tip has a screw that is used to tune the antenna to your CB. It was much simpler than cutting the antenna down as you have to do with other antennas. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** I rely on reviews when I make purchases so I put a lot of time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal and my business.
