This is a nice safe. It’s not heavy so this means it needs to be bolted into the wall or floor. Otherwise, anyone can walk off with it. It was frustrating though setting up the passcode and the time/date. Here’s my tip: From the instructions, use ‘Setting the Master Code’ Option B. To set the date and time, open the door. This safe is surprisingly lightweight, and doesn't really seem like it'd be able to withstand much. I got this one because the interior measurements indicated it would fit standard sized paper items, but it doesn't. Ultimately though, the safe would be fine for what I was looking for except there are hardly any directions, so it took me a minute to figure out how to set the code, and also the safe won't lock! What's the point?! I've tried both with codes and manually locking with the key, and still the safe opens with a twist of the dial. Useless to me. ... show more

This is exactly what I was looking for. Large enough to store my important documents and items and water and fire proof. It has an interior light to keep me from fumbling in the dark and the ease of set up was great. I would highly recommend!

There is no removable shelf included as advertised or per the image, it's false advertising. If it is empty with the door opened the safe would tilt forward (back lifted off the surface) due to the weight imbalance unless you bolt it to a wall in the back. I supposed that if you had something inside towards the back of the safe and not emptying it all out this probably would not happen. You get what you paid for-a bare basic safe. Setting the date/time is confusing, you have to first use the code to open the safe then you can set the date properly, the manual did not mention any of this. ... show more
