When finished, this is an awesome piece of furniture at an incredible price. Installation manual was well made and easy to follow. The big con was 8 to 10 hours of putting it together. Maybe with help you can shave off an hour at best. The only other con is that if you have small children, the laminate scratches very easy. All in all it was a great buy for my house. It is very sturdy, has a realistic fireplace and adds a lot of charm to my living room at a great price.

I gave this a 4 due to the many, many parts. There were 53 steps in the assembly. The instructions were pictures and arrows. The hardware was in separate bags labeled A thru Z, then several bags with double letters. All of the parts were in very good shape and packed well. It took me a day and a half to complete this assembly. I set out all the hardware in order on a folding table. I was able to use the end of the table to build some of the sub-assemblies. I was then able to build the entire unit on the table. This was much better than crawling around on the floor. I glued every dowel and every joint during the assembly; I used my own wood glue. Be very careful when installing the screws so they aren't over tightened. Some of the pre-drilled holes were close to panel edges. Once completed it was very solid, sturdy and heavy. The color of the sub-assemblies all matched and came together very nice. The fireplace insert was easy to install, and the flames look comfortable. The fireplace is quiet, and the heat functions worked great. I can see where some people might hurry through to assembly and damage the parts, TAKE YOUR TIME. This piece of furniture looks like it was factory built. I would buy this brand again.

This is really well made and looks very nice in our home! The flames are beautiful and the heat works perfectly. The instructions were very clear and we were able to get it built in about 4 hours. It is a very large piece of furniture.

Overall I am in love with this stand! It’s heavy duty and I love the ambiance the fireplace gives! I like that the logs make the fire feel more real. Haven’t used the heat much yet but it seems to heat well. I put the stand together myself - probably took about 6-ish hours from unpacking to clean up. Assembly wasn’t hard - just a lot of pieces - had good instructions. Using a drill is a must even though it says don’t - just don’t go too fast and then hand tighten things. Everything was well packed - there were very limited scrapes/scuffs. The finish on one of the handles was a bit rough. There’s probably a 1/4” gap at the top of the cabinet doors so then you can see the hole in the back of the cabinet but I put a piece of paper over it and it’s not as noticeable. I wish the drawers were a bit deeper to fit an upright CD case - I had to lean them over slightly. But for the most part the size is great. I’m super happy with this purchase and think it’s a good value!

As many other reviews have stated, this takes a while to assemble. You will spend the better part of a day putting it together but it's worth the trouble. It goes together smoothly and it quite sturdy. It looks beautiful in my space and provides lots of storage. The fireplace insert looks nice and heats my living room better than expected.

The wood crumbles when trying to put it together and this company refused to send a return label. They tried to replace the damaged parts but didn’t have them in stock. They dragged the return time out and then told me it was out of the return time after they told me they would refund me my money. I never received a refund and got stuck with a useless item. Horrible customer service as well.
