  • Pretty Decent Tent
Color: Outer Tent
Delivered today. Initial setup was pretty straight forward and easy. Roughly 30 minutes, which I think is pretty quick for not ever pitching this style tent before. Probably get faster the more the process is repeated. Tent material is of good quality. Post could be sturdier, but it will do for now. Only design flaw I see is there is only one zipper per door. If the door is shut, you gotta pull from the bottom, witch is quite a reach when you're inside. I could potentially get over this due to there being "Velcro" patches on the door flap. We'll see how they hold up after use. 4-8 person tent allows plenty of room to stand and even walk around inside. I am 5'11" tall for reference. Initially, I am pleased with this product. UPDATE: I have had this tent for about a year now and have used this tent on several trips in all weather. Snow, rain, wind, and summer heat. This tent has kept me dry in wet weather and warm when using either a stove or propane heater. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Color: Outer Tent
I was weary after reading reviews but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this tent. I was looking for a lightweight, packable tent to take into the backcountry that would fit 3 guys (sleeping on the ground) and a stove. This seems like it will do the trick. I ditched the aluminum pole and used a seek outside carbon fiber pole that I had. While it looked to be seam sealed on the inside, I went ahead and added seam sealer to the outside of the seams just for my own confidence. For the money, this goes above and beyond my expectations. I’ll know more once I take it to the field. ... show more

  • Not worth the time it takes to look at.
Color: Outer Tent
I bought this tent back in January and haven't been able to use it until now. Tried putting the tent up for the first time today, the whole ground seam ripped as I was stacking it out. And then 3 of the stake grommets ripped when I was removing the stakes. The stitching is super weak and the zippers all had the tent material zipped into them. For how much I paid for this tent I am livid. ... show more

  • Very roomy!
Color: Outer Tent
I am extremely happy with this tent! I wasn't expecting to be so happy with the tent but I'm glad that I picked it. - Size : This was my biggest concern, you can't tell from pictures of it online, but it's actually really roomy. It will probably give a tall 6' person some difficulty if you're looking to stand up in it, but as a 5'4" woman I had plenty of room to move around standing in this tent. - Weight : For its size it's really light, which I actually really appreciate. It's probably still too heavy to go backpacking with, but if you wanted to carry it on a short trail to a desired camping spot this tent is still plenty light to do that. It's also very compact for how big it is when set up. - No bottom : I really value the lack of having a floor on my tent, it meant that I could take a shower in my tent in total privacy while camping in public which is extremely important to me. If you have access to water, or in my case I brought water bottles that I heated next to my wood stove and some travel soaps I was able to shower and get clean then the wood stove dried out my tent with the vents open. A couple complaints: - There are complaints that you have to get on your knees to zip the door back up to the bottom, this is true. I'm still young so that didn't bother me, though honestly, if I was just getting in and out I just unzipped the tent from the top and stepped over the bottom. So it really didn't bother me. -The one thing that did bother me was the top vents. As a 5'4" woman it was almost impossible to reach the top vents, if I wanted them open it was like I was expected to open them before setting up my tent which would have required me to walk on my tent on the ground, and I'm not going to do that. And if I wanted to close them later, I wouldn't be able to. I was able to reach one of the top vents because it was close enough to one of the doors, but the other one was completely out of reach for me, which is a disappointing design flaw. Even so, I still love the tent, would absolutely buy again! ... show more

  • PUT A BETTER ZIPPER ON IT!!
Color: Outer Tent
Amazing product! The only problems I had with this tent were the stakes and the zippers the zippers for the tent were a huge one. I went on a camping trip and set it up in the dark so super easy to install, held up amazingly to the rain kept the heat in quite nicely, the absolute bane of this camping trip was the zippers this product would be “bulletproof” if they put on better quality zippers the zippers seamed cheap big fat thick a** zippers would make it a product few could rival. Other than that great product. ... show more

  • Great tent for the money
Color: Outer Tent
This tent seems like an excellent value. It arrived in about a week. I will be using it on a multi-day deer hunt in northern WIsconsin. However, just so I know ahead of time, I put the tent up in the backyard and put my stove into it. It’s fairly easy to erect. My stove heated up right up, the fabric has a waterproof and, apparently, windproof coating. It held in the heat well. It was up alight and a day in winds gusting into the 35-40 mph range and it held up perfectly, nothing pulled loose, no rips. The center pole held up well, was not an issue. My only complaint so far was that it came missing about 12 tent stakes. It didn’t have near enough to stake down the tent or guy lines. Plan on buying a dozen more staked. I had extra from other tents, so was ok, but I think the manufacturer should include the correct number of required stakes with the tent. But I’m happy with these tent so far. Addition to review: we did a 3 day deer hunt in this tent. Temperatures got down to 13 Fahrenheit with 30 mph winds, windchill of -1 Fahrenheit. It snowed about an inch while we were camping. Conclusion- this is NOT a tent for camping in during winter, especially it it snows. It did hold up to the winds and held in the heat from our stove a bit better than we expected. But it does have a serious problem which is that the door zippers only open by zipping up from the bottom. Since this is a tipi, one has to lay on the ground to reach the zipper pull. And you must use both hands, one to hold the tent fabric down, the other to pull the zipper up. We had put down a tarp and carpets for a floor and so when entering the tent with snow on our boots, some snow was tracked into tent each time we entered. Some of the snow melted, some didn’t, as it was cold on the floor level. Therefore each time we needed to exit the tent, we had to lay down in snow or cold water on the floor to access the zipper. When coming out of a cozy sleeping bag in the middle of the night, to answer a call of nature, but having to lay down in icy water and snow to unzip the door is very bad! This problem could be TOTALLY ELIMINATED if the manufacturer installed two way zippers. Two way zippers can be opened from the top down or bottom up. Very simple solution. So, don’t camp in this tent in snow unless you want to lay on your belly in icy water every time to need to exit the tent. One other issue is that the snow on the outside of the tent melts (if tent has a stove in it), runs down the tent walls, then freezes on the zippers. Zippers become inoperable. This only happen in about the bottom 12”. Above that, the stove keeps the walls warm enough to prevent zipper icing. Here again, a two way zipper would eliminate this problem also. ... show more

  • Great tent for hot stove winter camping
Color: Outer Tent
Has held up well, it takes awhile to setup but that just how these tents are, I use it with my wood burning stove for winter camping. Only thing I wasn't super impressed with is the center pole, it's a bit flimsy feeling but hasn't failed me yet. It's a great tent to get into some winter camping and for the price you can't beat it. ... show more
