I have this unit in my kitchen (approx. 12'x14') and it does a great job of cooling during this miserable heat spell. It was pretty easy to set up and use. My only gripe -- which is standard for floor air conditioners, I think -- is the exhaust attachment which I find hard to get in place. It would be nice to have a metal threaded screw-on attachment piece. Other than that, I love it. I have to note that the packaging was the most intelligent I have seen for a heavier item. It was securely boxed with unbreakable straps. Once those were removed, I only needed to lift off the entire box, leaving only the base, rather than laying it sideways and coaxing it out of the box. If it’s 10,000 BTU, then why is it saying 7,000 BTU on the side of the AC?? I don’t know if it’s just me, but the one I received is very loud, since the day I turned it on. I’m also skeptical as to why FIOGOHUMI has no contact, because I’ve been trying to find an email in order to get an online copy of the User’s Manual. I’ve not a good experience with this Portable AC, because it is not what is shown. I feel like I’ve been lied to. ... show more

I have 2 different brands in my house. This works well but my other one gets much colder and was a little cheaper. Its funny because this one has more BTUs

I purchased this portable air conditioner for a guest room one the first floor for saving bills in summer time. The air conditioner is quickly installed and easy to set up. The control panel on the top of the unit is also very user friendly. It has 3 functions, de-humidifier, cooling fan and AC. And it’s convenient to move from room to room. This air conditioner only take a few minutes to cool the room nicely and it is running quiet. It didn’t bother me at all. I would recommend this portable air conditioner especially if you need a portable one. It does not take space, it is easy to install, runs quietly and works well. Was only 5500 btu says right on the unit…. Dehumidifier actually raised humidity levels because cooling at same time, fine, but no way to set dehumidifier level so just kept running removing gallons of water but still at 70/80% since was cooling as well. Ok unit. Had in 10x 10 room so 100 sq feet… not quiet at all in small room ... show more

Living in a older home (1930) the added central air system just needed a little supplement for upstairs “large sq ft home” purchased this after reading a bunch of reviews. Not disappointed! Only thing I needed to do was the plate that goes in the window, the adjustable slide portion on the unit was a little too long to fit in the window we wanted it in, I had to cut it to make it fit the size “horizontal window” but besides that it’s awesome!     • Keeping me cool
Cools room down quickly. I did have to use a hacksaw and cut window piece but wasn't difficult. I like the night feature. I use a bucket do to the humidity and it doesn't produce that much water in that mode. It's in a spare room so works perfectly.

    • It Breaks after 5 months. Very bad support
It broke after 4-5months, emailed their customer support. Once they determined that it needs a replacement, they stopped responding. This may be very poor quality A/C lasts for few months, think before you buy.
