I purchased this Fiogohumi Portable A/C unit during the height of Oregon's hot, dry summer, at which time there were hundreds of square miles of forest fires burning in our state, with more fires in Northern California and Southern Washington as well. Not only was my family overheating in our two-bedroom apartment, we were suffering from some of the worst air quality you can imagine! My son's breathing is a big concern in these conditions, as he has asthma. The week we decided to buy our new A/C unit, temperatures soared to 100°F!! At first, we planned to spend the hottest days of the summer lounging in the pool at our apartment complex, but the low air quality made it difficult for my son to breathe if we spent too much time outside. After much consideration and having read 100s of reviews, we decided to buy the Fiogohumi Portable A/C unit, which we received just three days later from Amazon. Set up was a snap! We bought this air conditioner unit for my grandson's bedroom because it seems that the air conditioning system in the house we bought just doesn't reach his room with the strength needed to cool the room sufficiently. Since we received the unit and my son and grandson installed it we have noticed a total change in the comfort level in that bedroom. My grandson is extremely happy that his room is now as cool as the rest of the house. the unit is attractive and very unobtrusive. It sits in a corner and we have it vented through the window and we were very surprised that it is hardly noticable on the exterior of the house. The machine motor is quiet and does not disturb sleep or watching the television. Since my grandson is a young adult he tends to spend a lot of time in his room. If the air conditioning unit is at all bothersome to him I don't think he would enjoy his room as much as he does. I bought this A/C unit to use in a box trailer for a weekend trip. It was super easy to hook up, and I was able to just vent it out the side vent of my trailer. It worked great, and kept us nice and cool, even though it was summertime. We actually had to turn it down a good bit because it was keeping us too cool in a 8 × 16 box trailer. I bought this after 2 day heat wave... just got it & hooked it up. Installation is pretty straight forward. The air is very cold.... but I will come back & update review on a hot day 80+ degree weather. Update after 2 days of heat wave 80degrees to 86degrees... kept my studio cool 👌i do recommend this AC unit. Very powerful & fits almost anywhere (to store) ... show more
