This was basically exactly what I wanted from a case. The case provides enough protection to for me to feel better about shoving it into my backpack but is thin enough to not feel in the way when using it. And the elastic strap works well to secure the pen while traveling. The only slight annoyance is the cover protrudes a bit from the top of the reMarkable and is in the way when pressing the power button but it is still accessible.

I don’t close the case except when I travel. The case protects well. The loop up top is nice. I keep my pen in that only when I travel. The magnet is fine for me otherwise. The tablet stays in the case nicely. I walk around all day with it. It tends to jump out when I plug it in to charge, but I know to be mindful of that. The only negative is that I wish there was a cut out by the power button. The case gets in the way of pressing the power button, but I guess it needs to protect the button too. Also, in retrospect, I wish I would have bought a case with a stand, but didn’t think of that when I was shopping.

I do expect plastic products to stink a bit sometimes when right out of the box, but this one really stinks. If I touch it, the smell transfers to my hands, which is disappointing, but the item is, aesthetically speaking, pretty cute. I like using this on my Remarkable to match the pencil-looking stylus I got.

I refused to buy a case directly from Remarkable because they are ridiculously priced. I tried three different after-market cases, and this one is the definite keeper. It is very slim, as advertised, adding virtually no bulk at all to the tablet. The magnets snap it nicely to the tablet, perfectly lined up. It won't provide much, if any, drop protection. If that's what you're looking for, you'll have to have a bulkier case. But it does provide good screen protection, and looks sharp. And for the price, it's very hard to beat.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fun and stylish book cover for the ReMarkable 2. It uses a magnet on the back to secure the device in place. It's sturdy and seems like it'll do the job, and the pen loop is nice and tight (though it's elastic so I presume it will eventually stretch out and weaken. The only issue with the case is that there is no magnet in the spine area, which many other competitors offer, and the magnet in the back, while serviceable, is not as powerful as it should be. A moderate jar while open will result in the device falling out. Some competitors have offered devices with stronger magnets, including magnets in the spine (with a score to allow for opening the case), which mitigate this issue. Fintie, which makes good products, should consider this in the future. Finally, the front of the case does not include the "go to sleep" magnet that many other competitors do. This is a MUST ADD FEATURE in the future to preserve battery life and prevent unwanted activation of the tablet. I accidentally closed this without shutting down and when I re-opened the virtual keyboard had been activated and typed all over one of my documents.
