This is the only one of this brand of case I have ever gotten that has an odor of detergent. Very strong. I have washed with alcohol, soaked in white vinegar, also baking soda—no help. It’s outside in the sun for a week and getting slightly less smelly, but I can’t stand that smell. So I dropped a star from it, your experience might be different. I have ordered many of these for family over the last 4 years, all great, all have held up well. Sadly, for me this will be the last one due to what seems like a chemical additive in the silicone. Maybe it’s some kind of disinfectant or just a factory mishap, but I have no idea—these things are easy to wash and sterilize with alcohol so it doesn’t need any additives. ... show more
