I’ve only had this case for a little over a week or so. But so far this is the best tablet case I’ve had. My old case warped and bent to where the tablet wouldn’t stand up using the case alone as the grooves became too shallow and unaligned. So I was looking for something more study that supports the tablet on its own. This case is way more durable. The grooves for the tablet to stand up using the case are much deeper and lined with a nonslip felt kind of material. The ability to rotate between landscape and portrait mode is also awesome. The case actually holds up very well in portrait mode and stays standing - even when it’s in my lap and not necessarily on a flat table. Easy and compact to travel and fits nicely in my bag. Also nice to be able to carry my pencil with the tablet and it stays secure. The only downside I’ve noticed so far is the lack of camera protection. The camera lens on the back is exposed with this case so I am mindful of the lens getting scratched or cracked. It can also be a little difficult to get the pencil out of the case. The pencil is secure between the iPad magnet and the narrow section of the case so I’m not worried about losing it. But I have to use a pen or something small to lift the edge of the pencil enough to get it out of the case as it’s too narrow to use my finger to dislodge it. Overall this case is good for the price. I LOVE the color choices (I got mine in emerald marble). Easy to use, just pop the tablet right in. Even easy to remove the tablet if you want, but is very secure otherwise. I have had this case for almost a year now. I will say also, I am extremely tough on my cases. Horse pastures, farming, dropping things, and continuously picking at the edges. Over all, the case has held up fairly well, even to all the stuff I put it through. It has kept my IPad safe, and kept my Apple Pencil secure. The memory type foam on the part with the groves has held up extremely well to my arms, dirt, and me accidentally slamming the tablet down. The swivel has done well and still works smoothly. I am noticing some cracking in the leatherish material, some fairly significant, but only where it bends (and is probably my fault). the rest of it is fairly scratch resistant and pretty stain resistant. Anything on the fabric or leather type material comes off easy. My BIGGEST issue is that the little stand part has no plastic supporting piece inside of it. It’s only the leather like material. After it got wet the first time, due to me having to hand clean it because of very gross stuff spilling everywhere, it slowly lost its form. It now won’t hold the tablet up at all. This is fine while I’m drawing, as I hold it, but is a total pain while I am typing here. If this case could be updated to have a small piece of thin, stabilizing, plastic inserted in the part that supports the weight of the tablet it would be a 5 star. This cover works adequately for my iPad 12” - but the longer I use it, the more I want to find something better. It is very well-made, the quality of materials is good, it looks very nice and professional, it provides good protection for my iPad and has a convenient storage slot for the stylus. Problem is, in daily use, small quirks are becoming annoying. It only has two positions for standing horizontally - it needs a more upright position. When using horizontally the slots that hold it in position are not deep enough, so when I touch something near the top of my screen the iPad slips out of the slot and plops down flat on the table…. annoying! Vertical positioning is next to useless. The slightest touch near the top of the screen in vertical position and…. PLOP!!! Down flat again. Plus there’s no indentation in either of the positioning slots to accommodate a charging cord - I use a right-angle plug on my charging cord, and even that will not catch in one of the two positioning slots so you absolutely can not use the case conveniently while charging (unless you flip the vertical position upside down so the charging port is on top (which causes even more mis-balance in the vertical position - causing an even more sensitive trigger to the dreaded PLOP!!!) I’m definitely shopping for a replacement case with less annoying quirks during day-to-day use.
