Sturdy tough plastic on outer layer, thinner one for where keyboard is. Keyboard holds a charge well and works great; backlighting is useful for darker settings at night for example or when lightning strikes but iPad still has power and electricity is down for awhile here in New England. The other one I had had a magnet to attached the keyboard to the iPad and at first I was missing that - only have to charge one thing. Keyboard has a separate charger. But if you remember to turn it off, it is no problem at all and feels more like a desktop clicky “real” keyboard. Very nice; would buy again. Have had for almost 2months.

Pretty slick little keyboard! At first use, I did have a problem getting it to Bluetooth to my iPad. I tried several times to connect and it wouldn’t connect. So I plugged it in to charge for a couple hours and then was able to connect. This is a great idea for the iPad, so much better than poking a single letter at a time with the iPad pencil. You can use it to enter your password or pass code to open your iPad. The arrow keys also scroll through your home keys on your dashboard, then enter to select. Texting and email is a lot easier, just type then enter to send. I did think this was a backlit keyboard, but it’s not. No colored lights on the keys. Just a simple keyboard, but does everything you need it to. I like it a lot, glad I bought it. The case it comes with is very nice. It’s pretty thick, great protection in case it’s dropped if you carry your iPad around. Your iPad fits nice and snug in the case. The pencil holder was a little tight, but after using for a while, it has loosened up. The magnet holds the keyboard where you want it pretty good, no moving around. If you do a lot of texting, emailing, or writing, you need this keyboard. It’s great, you’ll never go back to pencil popping a letter at a time.

Received today and installed on a 2023 iPad Air 5 with a glass screen protector. The case fits tightly - maybe because it’s so cold here today and it had been outside for awhile. I had to heat the edges with a hairdryer and use a thin blade around the edges to allow the iPad to slip into the case. Don’t believe there is any way the iPad is going to fall out and the edges of the iPad are well protected. Doesn’t seem to interfere with the screen protector. Case seems solid and a little heavy, but I expected that — with the keyboard removed my iPad stands nicely on my lap in my chair while watching YT videos which is a key reason I bought it. I got the grey tweed(ish) case and it looks nice. The pencil holder is perfect - fits nice and tight and connects and charges while in place. Couldn’t figure out how to easily get the pen out and then realized you just push from the slot underneath. Better than any pencil holder I’ve seen on any other case. The keyboard is superb. Connected almost immediately. I am a touch typist and the adjustment period was zero! This is mostly a traditional QWERTY layout so if you’ve gotten used to the new iOS keyboard layout it’s going to be a little different. I kept pounding the ‘delete’ key and wondering why nothing was happening — it still has the ‘backspace’ key which you may or may not like. The function keys across the top are pretty handy. I have not figured out exactly how the keyboard stores when you close the case, and can’t find any illustration of it. It doesn’t “fit” the screen well and I’m not sure how I feel about that. If I didn’t have the glass screen protector along with Apple Care+ I doubt I’d store the keyboard in the case, and in fact, may not. But it seems the keyboard will stay in place when the case is folded up. I will update this review if anything changes or if I get clarity / comfort with the way the keyboard stores.

This purchase was to replace a similar keyboard case I had been using on a smaller iPad that gave up the ghost, so I already knew I would like the style. The only odd thing with this model is that the + and - buttons for adjusting the volume are just the opposite of how they are arranged on the iPad Air, so I have to push - to turn the volume up, and + to turn it down. Seeing as the description specifically says that this product is supposed to be compatible with the iPad Air, I was surprised by this. A minor inconvenience IMO.

I like it as the keys are smooth to use. Cover is sturdy and good thing is I can easily detach the keyboard whenever I want. Magnets are good but can be a bit more better. However, my overall experience for the product is good.

First the pros : the case is very pretty, my iPad fits fine, the keyboard works great. The cons: when all put together it’s very heavy and bulky. I also need to use my iPad in the vertical position for all the games on my iPad, plus I do my banking on my iPad and it’s very awkward to use the camera. I went back to my old light weight cover, but I’m keeping the keyboard. Cover just doesn’t work for me.

I purchased the case with the wireless keyboard at the end of December. I was very happy with it, paired easily, types nicely, and the keyboard holds the charge for a long time. I think the case is great the iPad is very secure and protected. I had to contact customer service on Super Bowl Sunday as the keyboard became unpaired from the ipad I did all the troubleshooting and it still would not pair. Customer service chatted with me during the Super Bowl to try to help fix it. When it was clear it could not be resolved they told me they would ship out a new one. I did not even ask, it was just offered. Amazing. The new keyboard arrived 2 days later and I am using it now for this review. I will defiantly buy from this seller again. Thank you

This keyboard works flawlessly! It connects easily without any issues! The keyboard has an on and off switch that I rarely need to use. It turns on and off automagically based on the usage. Because of this, the keyboard stays charged for hours, days, weeks…I have had this for roughly 4 months and have charged it twice….just because. There is nothing I can say I fault the keyboard for. It is very responsive and performs as expected.
