Well it’s not electric it does not vibrate you pull it across your skin like a straight razor and that’s what it feels like and you don’t go over the same place twice just make one every stroke and it takes your hair off easily on your face and it also defoliates your skin however I would prefer that it was Electric, It made it sound like it was but it is not a rent to buy a battery but it’s still not done and still not has the electrical vibration you have to push it yourself ... show more

So here’s the deal: I was about to return this cute little wand because, thanks to the light, I was witness that it wasn’t removing my peach fuzz AT ALL. I tried everything. I watched videos. Read reviews. I did all the things! But mustachio still remained..... Until I realized that when it says to hold at a 45 degree angle, it’s talking about the blade/head not the wand itself. I was turning my hand to approach my face at a 45 degree angle. But keeping the head parallel with my face. 🙄 Once I tilted the blade head a bit by simply turning my wrist, I saw and felt (and heard) the difference immediately and felt like a big dumb dumb for almost returning it. I love this little gadget and can’t wait to fully de fuzz myself later! ... show more

    • Easy to use, but dull quickly
I received this and used it immediately and with great results, it removed dead skin, peach fuzz, and really helped clean up the smaller areas on my face (around brows, nose, lips, etc). It didn’t remove all super fine hairs, but I didn’t expect it too). Hair did not grow back thicker or darker (unlike my mothers warnings from puberty in the early 1990s) ;) With need to use it again 3 weeks later l noticed the replacement blade dulled very quickly (1 blade for each half of my face). For reference, I’m a 40yo mom of 1 with fine lines on my forehead, sensitive to normal skin, and suffer from very very mild rosacea on my cheeks. I was hesitant to use this because I didn’t know how my skin would react or cause a flare up in the rosacea- it didn’t cause a flare up in my case. I probably would always recommend going to a licensed esthetician if you have sensitive skin, especially if it's a product like this that could aggravate it. This product does work well once you get the angle and motions down. It took me a few tries and I didn't use the light the whole time as it is very bright, and working with a few spots in my vision wasnt optimal. It did light up a lot of peach fuzz I didn't know was there though. My face felt so much smoother after this first try. You really can watch the skin and peach fuzz gather on your skin as you work too. Be sure to follow the directions. A gentle cleaning with warm water to start. Fully dry skin. Keep skin taught. Gentle strokes. Biggest thing - no products for up to 8 hours after. No lotion, nothing. I just gently wiped my face with warm water afterwards. ... show more

I wanted to try this so I could have something a little better than the disposable ones - but the only thing about this that’s better is the light. The blade is actually quite dull (even the refills) and I frequently have to go over the same spot 3-4 times to fully exfoliate and remove dead skin. The disposable ones are far more effective. A couple times a year use this device to exfoliate. As a part of a home spa facial. My sis was in the NY cosmetology industry for decades. Gave me a regime that includes scrub, peel off mask, masque, & retinol mask. She also encourages the little gel slices for under the eyes. Hadn’t found any I like yet. Gardening season use cucumber slices :) Anyway, for me, using this device helps remove a layer of dried skin. Even though peach fuzz goes for a time it doesn’t get thicker when it returns. Middle age invites more hair. Mine is fine ultra blonde, though with this device see how much there is with my 10x medium sized mirror to help me navigate the process. A caution, tho I have not shaved my eye brows off. This would be very easy to accidentally do. I’ve used this device for several years. Once to a few times a year. Twice seems to be the sweet spot. Combined with the rest of the spa style choices have wonderful smooth skin. My sister was very impressed at our last visit. Growing up a Tom boy had wonderful skin throughout my life. Middle age have had a couple of instances of issues. Nutrition is key. While nurturing the exterior adds a little extra glow. This gadget could cut easily. When I use it go slowly. Use a lighted mirror. Plus, 10x. Helps me see what’s coming up and they I don’t accidentally get too close to areas. Down and out motion. Making sure to get around the edge of my chin to ensure the peach fuzz is uniformly gone while helping remove the dry skin that forms naturally despite good skin care and diet.
